My mum who is Elizabeth flies into Heathrow on the 7th of June she's just missed the big day.
Will she be there for the Ascot Races? Will be a good time for Aussies in London to cheer on Black Caviar to WIN:)
Eliza, evidently the Queen on the days she attends the races, is driven by car to a park, where she and Phillip then hop into their Carriage to travel to the course. A couple of our friends go to this park each year with their friends, armed with picnic/and bubbles :) hardly anyone else is there and they get to have a nice chat with Her Majesty and Phillip. Maybe your mum and friends would like to do this?

Daltrim, my mum who has not been to the races since the 70's turned into a racing fanatic when Black Caviar came to town for her 20th and 21st races. Mum was lucky enough to have a friend with members tickets who took her along for both race meetings and she loved every minute of it.

Mum is ultimately heading to Ireland for a couple of months but she is meeting her sister in London for a bit of R and R, I will do some googling re Ascot and give mum the info, I am sure she would be very interested, thank you.

Watch out London, 89 year old Lizzy and 85 year old Siobhan are going to be painting the town red :) lol

That would not matter, my lovely friend :D

.Charles is the elder sibling and Camilla is his wife..ergo she outranks the princess royal. I think that inheritance rule comes into effect for future babies. I do not think it is retrospective.

And William is the eldest child of the eldest child so I think even Kate outranks Anne. It is all a question of who courtesies to whom. :D

Bit of info over here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_precedence_in_the_United_Kingdom

In 2005, The Queen changed the order of precedence for private occasions, putting the Duchess of Cornwall fourth in the order of precedence, after herself, the Princess Royal, and Princess Alexandra, contrary to the usual position of the heir's consort. Charles' first wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, had ranked above the Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra.[1] The Duchess of Cornwall continues to rank second in the order of precedence at official occasions, such as state dinners.

And there's a list here:
