I didn't think she could out-ugly that coat but she has. That dress is atrocious!

She's getting a bit of a bump. No meat elsewhere on her though.
Yes, she's looking quite well, isn't she.

Jackie Kennedy wearing a similar dress during her goodwill tour of India in 1962.
I would do many, many terrible things to get my hands on Jackie's pearls.

SAPIOSEXUAL
But she mostly wore fakes Jam.
I read a few books about Jackie.
Style trivia from them -
she had an enormous head, thus the pillboxes were deemed the most flattering for that big pumkin
one of her signature style things was her fake pearls, she often wore big beads and such
Most of the writers paint her as rather the social climber - but that was a vocation really back then.

Yes, you are absolutely correct kxk. I'm a Pearl Girl - my collection reflects both traditional and modern settings, including many single pearls charms on assorted colour leather wrist wraps - eg. Ole Lynggaard.
The pearls that Jackie is wearing in the photo above were actually purchased by her for $35. Just found the story online of how much they were sold for at auction

Lol! Thanks kxk and Daltrim.
Forget Jackie's pearls then - I'll buy them. I'll do many, many terrible things to get my hands on Daltrim's pearls!

No, still don't like it. The dress looks like old fashioned 60's style textured crimplene fabric. It was ugly polyester stuff that was stiff and stuck out just like that dress. Some things (or their lookalikes) should never ever EVER come back in style.
I won't go into the cut of that dress or that it looks like it's trying to slice through her neck. I agree that it looks like it's badly homemade...by someone who doesn't know how to sew darts. For someone who would have the worlds designers at her feet, why she chose that I'll never know.
And I still hate the coat, I don't care who designed it or how much it costs. Its still ugly.
