Late to the party this year but great to see a ratings thread. As someone who follows ratings closely, I can assure you that these numbers for BB are excellent. What I don't think many understand is that Big Brother has so far been on for 2 hours (1.3million), 90 mins (1.03m) and 90 mins (1.03m) - if it was on for 30 mins (like Home and Away) it would be a 1.5m show. If it was on for 60 mins (like The Block) it would be a 1.25m show.
Big Brother is so valuable to Nine (and actually any network) because there is no other format that can deliver so much content on a daily basis that holds 1 million eyeballs for the same length as a movie.
If it sticks anywhere above 900k on Mon, Tues and Weds it will be back next year and will be doing its job.
Predictions for next 2 nights:
BB Thurs: 940k
BB Fri: 720k
