@Spock and @Shinigami are two other posters that are sorely missed.
hope you feel 100% soon ... in the meantime it sounds like you're going to rattle with all those medsI'm ok now. Just got home this afternoon after going into surgery yesterday afternoon. Was shit scared before, in a lot of pain after, and extremely relieved now, though I have SIX medications to take over the next week.

Thanks! It's gonna be weird, as I don't usually take anything stronger than Panadol or Advil.
yeah I know how you feel - hard to remember to take them on schedule when you;re not used to taking anything regularlyThanks! It's gonna be weird, as I don't usually take anything stronger than Panadol or Advil.

I've written up a bit of a chart to keep them in order.

Any opinions and/or advice sought please from experienced patients. I twisted my knee a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get better after the usual couple of days and now the opinion is that I may have a tear in my ACL. Could still be cartilage. Having an MRI on Monday. Thank the Lord that I work in a public hospital and am getting it done free
For those who've been there, done that, what's the go with it all? Effing hurts and it's my right knee. Driving isn't an issue...yet. Is swimming a good thing to do as walking is a bit out of the question.

Can you walk on it?
Sometimes you can tear both your acl and meniscus.
Depending on the grades, you've got a few weeks of rest.
Swimming should be OK as its non weight bearing, have you been to physio? They should likely prescribe low impact quad strengthening.

I walk on it but I limp, it can hurt like hell and it can be a bit buckly. Once my knee has warmed up so to speak I limp less. I turned to look at something immediately behind me and while my upper body turned, my legs didn't. Until I find out the MRI results I have no idea as to treatment. I have been told physio will be the go. Again, it can be done at work. Thankyou for you advice. I've never had a knee injury before. Kind of freaking me out as I don't want to be incapacitated for too long for various reasons.

Hopefully it's grade 1 or 2, means only a few weeks healing and light activities

Haha yeah lucky working in a hospital!

So glad you're here, delcan. I have missed this place and I think I've just signed by last post here. I was very rude to Trala.
