Hi all.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Sadly my abuela did pass away but we managed to visit her before she did so part of our prayers were answered.

Condolences to you and your family. I am sure you will remember her with love, laughter and smiles. Did you have to travel overseas? Spain?

No just down south. She's been living in Australia since the 40s they moved here after the civil war. She was 97 so she lived a good and long life. Going to miss her heaps though - she was a big part of my life.

I am so sorry to hear that Consuela :(. **big hug**

At least you got to see her before she passed if that's any comfort. :)

It was. We got to say a sort of goodbye which is all we wanted.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family Consuela. Abuelas have such a powerful role in our lives if we are lucky. It sounds like your abuela was the source of much love and I'm glad you got the chance to be with her and show her how loved she was before she passed.

Sorry for your loss @Consuela. What a great innings - 97! You must have so many wonderful memories.

I do and I'll cherish them forever. She's seen and done a lot of things. Always had an opinion and was never afraid to share it.

Truer words were never spoken. There's nothing like an abuela.

Y'all are going to make me start crying again.

97!! OMG, what was her secret?:writing: well beside having such a great caring and loving nieto.

So sorry for your loss @Consuela. 97 is an amazing innings and you were all fortunate enough to say goodbye to her, something that I'm sure she appreciated. Sadly we can't live forever, but ending a long happy life with the people you love is surely a pretty good way to leave this plane.

Thinking of you and yours xxx

Thank goodness you're OK Tess.
That one is a scary one, I know a few girls that had to have all or most of their cervix out, all early to mid 20s.

Hello sorcey. so good to see you. And thank you.
Yep, I had the lot out but its all good now.

For about three weeks before I found out what stage I was...I thought I was screwed.
thank goodness for pap smear tests!
