If you disagreed with my assessment around Charlotte's Law and how Charlotte's death had nothing to do with trolls I highly suggest you read this article that will be in today's (Saturday) Daily Telegraph by her friend/journo Taylor Auerbach where he lists everything else that was weighing on Charlotte, the only mention of trolling is "She didn’t talk about trolling".

The things weighing on her included ex-husband Scott Miller's 60 minutes interview, being upset that Foxtel was not promoting her bid for a silver Logie enough, "confronted by a jobless and penniless future, massive debts and an ex-lover who was losing his grip on sanity". And when she called her neighbour to come over they couldn't make it.

Despite saying she got through it ok to people, it is pretty clear the downward spiral started from reading the transcript of Scott Miller's interview and watching it. She even took her life the day after Scott Miller's birthday.

It's unfortunate that the lack of trolling for weeks before her death has not been discussed but it is nice to see a more honest article being put out, by a friend no less, rather than the media beat-up and finger wagging over trolls and bullying (inclusive of Tully's piece).

Charlotte Dawson was dogged by demons but the troubled soul’s last fatal clues were missed, writes Taylor Auerbach

I am sick and tired of seeing and hearing all of this crap about LBGT's all of the time, it is fine if that is the lifestyle they choose or are born into even but it isn't very interesting to me and I am becoming offended that I am constantly exposed to it in the media. Save the inclusion arguments (Pru) these groups really aren't inclusive of people not in there group (in fact they are mostly exclusive) proof of this from the show Tully "I didn't know that there were decent men out there" because her group doesn't even talk to men and automatically assume that they are jerks, assholes ....
People don't deserve medals or special recognition just for being gay.

I don't think most gay people want special recognition for being gay.....I think most (at least my friends and acquaintances I've talked to who are gay) just want equality (Marriage, equal treatment, etc.)....Media coverage isn't going away (and shouldn't IMO). I don't really see any issue with putting it out there especially with events like Pride Parade's, etc.

On you other point, I agree with it and I've been bringing up that point for a while (and people can disagree if they want) that Tully needed to diversify her social group if she came into the BB house with the "heterophobic" notion that all men are assholes, or that she wouldn't want to go to a club if there were men around, etc......I bet she's been slowly realizing that and her recent negative Sydney tweets I would bet are her getting tired of that scene...

Yes, I so believe it was more deep rooted than just trolls, however, sometimes one situation can be a trigger ..... and there seems to be many of them. Maybe dwelling on ..... oh who knows.....

Blame can be very caustic.

Just pondering on the complications that life and death can bring to ones soul, can be inspirational (BOTH POLARS)

Thanks for posting ..... that was a really good article.

I saw you deleted your link so I did as well

EDIT: And readded lol - http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/new...-1226841318821

Sorry, but I did read that article you just put up... And have now deleted... What is your connection to these trashy mags?
Cool your jets mate I have no clue what the hell you are on about the link isn't even to a trash mag it's to the Daily Telegraph and the article is written by one of Charlotte's friends.

Ha ha I actually deleted everything I said because I rethought pressing the issue but you quoted it all so now it doesn't matter - restored what I wrote including link.

I didn't mean to hurt any individual's feelings by what I said, I am mostly bothered by the media and how they cover it. The media may be slightly different in the US (where I live) as well.
Tully's Sydney group doesn't make any effort to include or even interact with men, so I believe my outlook on that aspect of what I said was fair.

I thought it was an article that should be brought up. I have been thinking about this topic all week.

To read this, made it all much clearer to me, about what any person can go through, on their journey of life.

Certain things might just tip the scales. Who will ever know, could have been one grain of salt, that tipped them.

There should be no blame .... No one will ever know, unless you have walked a mile in their shoes (unique, as we are all)

"

Snippet from the UK media

"....Meanwhile, Miller's family members have revealed that Dawson reached out to her ex-husband in the days leading up to her death.
His sister Nicole Perko told the Daily Telegraph that Dawson had got in contact with the family, asking them to get Scott to call her after she had watched his recent tell-all 60 Minutes interview.
She said Dawson didn't seem rattled after it had aired, and had wanted to organise a barbeque with the Miller clan....

If you reworded this to say .... 'Tully's Sydney group doesn't seem to make any effort to include or even interact with men, so I believe my outlook on that aspect of what I said was fair......' It would read better .....

I think there have been some blokes around on the odd occasion ......... New Years ....

Nothing says "pre-Mardi Gras sustenance" like a sausage sizzle from Bunnings.

I'm talking about the law, not what a group of people might threaten to do even if they have no law to stand on.

Although your examples show how potential laws which are designed to protect people from being offended actually end up with a shitty situation whereby everything becomes offensive and we're left with nothing.

My bad, you're absolutely right. Muslims don't wait to check whether the law is behind them or not to get things their way, they're very vocal and pro-active whenever something arises that they don't approve of. None of this turn the other cheek nonsense so in a sense their method of retribution/justice is much much worse.
