If you disagreed with my assessment around Charlotte's Law and how Charlotte's death had nothing to do with trolls I highly suggest you read this article that will be in today's (Saturday) Daily Telegraph by her friend/journo Taylor Auerbach where he lists everything else that was weighing on Charlotte, the only mention of trolling is "She didn’t talk about trolling".
The things weighing on her included ex-husband Scott Miller's 60 minutes interview, being upset that Foxtel was not promoting her bid for a silver Logie enough, "confronted by a jobless and penniless future, massive debts and an ex-lover who was losing his grip on sanity". And when she called her neighbour to come over they couldn't make it.
Despite saying she got through it ok to people, it is pretty clear the downward spiral started from reading the transcript of Scott Miller's interview and watching it. She even took her life the day after Scott Miller's birthday.
It's unfortunate that the lack of trolling for weeks before her death has not been discussed but it is nice to see a more honest article being put out, by a friend no less, rather than the media beat-up and finger wagging over trolls and bullying (inclusive of Tully's piece).
Charlotte Dawson was dogged by demons but the troubled soul’s last fatal clues were missed, writes Taylor Auerbach
