Now this is the sort of shit the sappy person in me loves to see. These two obviously had issues in the house but it's nice to see that at the end of the day the HMs do have a kind of camaraderie between them after sharing the experience. I love how Jade favourited pretty much all the tweets in their exchange haha.

I'm a sap as well, I never entirely bought the edit on Tim and Ed's relationship, us Live Feeders remember that hilarious clip of Tim and Ed dressed as ninjas doing a fake eviction on Jade, Boog and Maddie, which I remember lots of us being incredibly disappointed it was never shown on TV. I just can't imagine spending that much time with someone and not caring about them at all.

OMG I live in a dump, this is our bathroom, we're growing mushrooms apparently.

Wow that is a terrible outfit. And Tahan looks good in everything, I hate to think how it would look on anyone else.

Tully, however, looks perfect. I like her with her hair up.

Speak for yourself.

Tahan looks positively delicious in that outfit as she always does, good enough to eat. :cool:

Don't worry Jo-bot, if you're a moron I'm one too because I agree. I really don't get the big hoo-ha about Tim giving $10,000 of his OWN money to a charity of other housemates choosing.

I agree as well, but I'm definitely not a moron. Giving away $10,000 is a great philanthropic gesture only marred by HMs who took the money instead of directing it to charity.

There have been plenty of bad words said about Tim for giving away $10,000, but might I suggest those words be applied to any HMs who keep the cash. And no, a sob story doesn't cut it, they don't need the money. Admittedly for those HMs who didn't/don't like Tim they will get an extra special thrill by taking his money so all power to them.

I agree that it's a great gesture, but unless Tim has been given access to everyone's bank details I suspect that some HM's may choose not to participate, and that may well mean neither giving to a charity nor taking money from Tim. I think it's better not to make assumptions. We can see the range of views expressed here. No doubt there are a number of different feelings and responses amongst the HM's too. Not donating to a charity doesn't automatically mean they've kept the money for themselves. They may have chosen to have nothing to do with Tim's scheme.

I thought Tim was just emulating what I've seen on numerous charity drives and Telethons etc. Business rivals, celebrities or whatever challenging one another to donate more or match their amount. Tim just used his own money to stir things up in the same manner. It actually seems to me that a few HMs that clashed with Tim in the house are in total support of his efforts.

That's nice that Matt also chose Alzheimer's Australia as his charity in support of Tully. I liked their friendship in the very early days of the series.

This is the part that makes me the most uncomfortable about the whole situation... Those who don't respond publicly will be seen to have just kept the money when they might have simply chosen not to participate. It's the harsh judgements on these HM's integrity that is unfair and unjust.

Seems like this Tim charity thing has produced a lot of divided opinion. I noticed Tahan has been copping it a fair bit for only donating $100 and Tim just tweeted this:

tim dormer ‏@timdormer
@AuntyNannon @chickkinOZ @whoretruth @TahnyLew leesa_Little not happy with how you're treating her! I said no judgment!

This is exactly what I was afraid of happening. Tim has essentially set up this scenario where he's given the HMs a choice however the way he's set it up it encourages criticism and hate to be thrown at the HMs who don't donate (or don't donate much in Tahan's case).

I don't even know if Tim was intentionally trying for this outcome to be honest, but I think a lot of us could see it was going to happen. Again I respect the hell out his gesture, but I'm still not sure if this was the best way to go about it.
