Yeah, I know. It's stupid. Can't believe I'm actually letting it get to me. Caleb hasn't replied to my direct tweet either when I asked him a question. I shouldn't take offence to it, but I dunno, I guess I would just always reply to everyone. I'm pretty sure that Ben is good in that way. I just sent him a tweet LOL! Fingers crossed!

As always Crimmy, well said. I've noticed drew likes a good pun and will reply to quirky or clever comments. So maybe mikidiki could try that?

haha maybe mikidiki could post what has been tweeted to Drew, and see if we can come up with something witty that may get his attention? LOL

des moines I'm not sure about others but what I have trouble reconciling (and what I was cheering Tahlia on for at the time) are these Tweets with now selling a story and continuing the saga on her end...

TAHLIA. ‏@beginnersblood 15 Oct

How I am still receiving Big brother related questions is beyond me. Drop it already.

TAHLIA. ‏@beginnersblood 15 Oct

I don't watch the show, I don't care whats going on, don't care what he said, I barely talk to her, don't care what happens after. Answered.

TAHLIA. ‏@beginnersblood 21 Oct

Tonight, this chapter officially ends, for good.

TAHLIA. ‏@beginnersblood 22 Oct

Way to show Australia you're proud to be a cheater. Good riddance.

TAHLIA. ‏@beginnersblood 22 Oct

Just when you thought someone couldn't stoop any lower.

And then there's the whole "gross" Tweet. So does she want the topic dropped, was she really not watching the show (we obviously know the real answer to that one), does she not care what happens after, is the chapter finally over for good, is it really good riddance? See how that doesn't jive? I have no problem with her selling her story... it's that now everything she said before that - including the belting she gave that journo who turned up at her bar wanting to talk to her FOR FREE - smacks of a fake air of superiority that doesn't sit well with me. All stuff that myself and many others applauded her for at the time. I realise she's only 22 but if you're old enough to have the responsibility of a lease and a phone contract in your own name then I'm going to assume you're old enough to have the same expectations I'd place on any other adult.

I hear you! It does sadden me - and sicken me ... and then I just have to laugh when you look at the profile of someone who is spewing forth with vile stuff and they describe themselves as "fun loving, happy, laid back" ... guess they forgot to take the happy pills before signing into twitter

it amazes me to read that the worst of the people who troll on twitter etc are female in the 30-49 age bracket - not teenagers as I would have expected ..

if they so despise someone why follow them at all? why when ever they are mentioned by another HM do they then flood the thread with hatred and ruin the whole vibe for everyone else

I chatted with my son last night about it and he said "they're trolls - its all just a joke" and laughed it off ... but as I said to him I'd just watched the segment on 60 Minutes about a young girl who'd been bullied and abused at school and after continued bullying online she killed herself. Do these people actually ever think that one day their vileness could lead to a tragic thing like that - and do they think that's a joke?!

Having a fake persona to hide behind and anonymity makes them oh so brave ... when really they're the biggest cowards out there ...

I would love to see Tully write an article or do an interview at some point in the future that addresses online behaviour because she had a background with working in it and a wider knowledge of the various platforms ... and it would be interesting to hear what she thinks of it, how its affected her and how she copes with it ... although it might just draw even more fire towards her ...
The girl's name is Chloe Fergusson and she committed suicide last month. And tonight, Tully and Ben have both put links on their Twitter accounts to the Facebook page to support new anti-bullying laws being enacted. Both ex-housemates certainly have tales to tell, but seeing as this has been particularly about cyber bullying, I'd also love to see Tully write about it, although I suspect it's still a little too soon. Like you, I suspect it might just draw more fire. What I found most repellant with the 'trolls', which is too kind a definition, is their congratulatory remarks to one another...and yes, their age. Good grief.

I think it's hysterical that the same people making fun of Tahlia for selling her story and, yes, lashing out somewhat vindictively at the two people who caused her a lot of pain.... are the same people who are also cheering on Drew for getting bitchy on twitter and lashing out somewhat vindictively at those trying to hurt him and his new gf.

Double standards much?

Why is it okay for Drew to speak out against the anonymous people throwing hate at him on the internet, but it's not okay for Tahlia to speak out against the two NON anonymous people who hurt her?

Why is Drew allowed to be mad that people are making fun of Tully, but Tahlia isn't allowed to be mad that her ex girlfriend cheated on her, disrespected her in front of the entire nation and treated her like she was entirely worthless and inconsequential?

Why is Drew allowed to express his anger in bitchy nasty tweets, but Tahlia isn't allowed to express her anger in a one-off story?

Why is Drew's retaliation commendable, but Tahlia's not?

Why is Tahlia expected to take the high road when clearly you guys are loving Drew taking the low road?

Either label both scenarios immature, spiteful, not a good look etc etc, or admit they're both okay. You can't pick and choose, you can't say one is fine and one is not. Stop being hypocrites and start being reasonable.

The major difference being one is a national publication and online and very visible to everyone whereas Drew is replying to people who are following HIS twitter thread and going on attack ... and from what I've seen he's maybe bitten 2 or 3 times at the most ... but its only seen by those interested enough to look at his twitter ...

My criticism of the article was mainly because I saw her as selling herself out - she came across as a person with her own unique look (which didn't seem to include bright colours or feminine frippery) and yet for that article she's allowed herself to be 'prettied up' (did the magazine people think they were trying to make 'the lesbian ex' look feminine and attractive for their mainstream demographic?? how stupid are they?? what the heck is wrong with letting her be herself and show her own style? ) Would she have dressed like that or even been asked to dress like that for a LGBT mag? It just seemed so wrong and for THAT reason I felt she sold herself short.

I actually wish all the media would quit identifying her by her sexuality also - 'ex-girlfriend' should be enough ...

It does amaze me though when on one hand she says she doesn't WANT the notoriety but on the other she'd done something that will feed it more fuel ... she's just putting it out there for an even wider audience to recognise her ... not everyone watches or is even interested in reading about BB ... it just perplexes me

Lol a few on FB said he just needs to grow a mo and he'd look like Hitler.

Again, he's leaning away from Jade in a pic.

I just saw this picture on twitter is it me or does he look like he has a mo here??? Not the best look at the moment.... image is important haha

I wish Drew would just block the pathetic trolls. It does no good to feed them. The comments under that beautiful picture of Drew with the guide dog are just awful. Who are these people? Vision Australia also got caught up in that as Drew tagged them. Now whoever runs that account is going to get bombarded with disgusting comments. Not cool.

goodluck with Ben,:) he doesnt appear to be much of a tweeter? he tweeted a couple of days ago, and retweeted twice today to a tweet Tim had made and Sonia replied too, then his fans joking about Tim and Ben having their own TV show.

And yeah crimmy I agree. The girl in that magazine article looks absolutely nothing like the Tahlia she's shown of herself on Instagram. I'd have a lot more respect - and a massive hell yeah laugh - if she came out and said yep, I wanted to take a trip to the US so I finally talked for the cash. Had to be dressed in mumsy poly for it but you do whatcha gotta do. See ya in Vegas bitches.

just a question - because I'm no expert with twitter (as you can all probably tell by my naivete ... if Tahlia doesn't want people asking her BB questions and bothering her with all sorts of nonsense ... can she block the followers who do it ... once she started getting a flood of followers that she didn't want could she have made her account private? she has something close to 29,000 followers ... I wonder how many she had before Tully went into the BB house.

yes I realise she shouldn't HAVE to do any of this in a perfect world - but obviously we no longer live in a world where people respect other people's privacy

Let's hope Tully gives him a few social media lessons over the coming days.

Yeah she can block them and never see that stuff again if she wanted to. Unless people make new accounts of course but even then she can contact Twitter to get them to handle it. Or even make her account private so only people she manually allows to see her account can. She had less than 1,000 followers before this Tully saga took off so she's definitely not a passive participant in this whole drama. If she didn't want to hear about it nor deal with it she could've stopped it at any time.

ETA - Also some of those Tweets weren't in response to anyone's questions. They were merely her putting it out there to all of the followers she's gained specifically because of Tully and BB. For better or worse she's been an active player in all of this.

so you think it was it a mistake because it was deleted or because of what they said about Drew?

I wonder if any of the HM's will be nominated for next years Cleo's Bachelor of the Year?

I think it was a mistake because it was deleted and seems like a tweet that wouldn't be coming from the Cleo Magazine account (although I could be wrong). Looks to me like one of the people who have control of the account were meant to tweet it from their personal account and made a mistake.

mikidiki i'm not sure why you want a response so badly from him. I am trying to type this very carefully because i know that over the internet you can't tell the writers tone and i'm seriously not intending to be mean or patronising or anything like that, in my head i am talking in a nice friendly manner, not a sarcastic or rude one. Just putting that out there because sometimes the tone of a post can be misinterpreted and i don't want that to happen...but i genuinely don't understand why it means so much to you. He's just a normal guy and you are just as important as he is. I don't think you should have any expectations when tweeting someone you don't know or you will just continue to be disappointed. These people receive so many and the ones they respond to are probably just random ones they see at the right time and depending on their mood or if they've got the time they might shoot something back but it's not a personal thing and you shouldn't let it worry you.

So many people tweeting "follow me" or "respond please" etc, but it doesn't make you any more special than you already are. Maybe i'm just wired differently but i don't care if these people don't know i exist. It makes no difference in my life and have no urge to contact them or meet them or even speak to them if i bumped into them down the street. So i don't know, i just think wanting them to acknowledge you somehow makes it seem like you are placing them above yourself on a scale of importance and you shouldn't sell yourself so short...famous people aren't rare like they use to be, everyone is famous now days with bloody facebook and youtube so don't let it worry you and keep smiling.

Jo-bot, we may often disagree, but this is a lovely post.

Thanks :) I completely agree. I need to learn to have your mindset! If I do ever get upset, I will honestly refer back to this post.

when I first saw your pic come up I thought someone had doctored it so he looked like Hitler :S

No joke that is not doctored, I saw it on the twitter feed, its probably just a shadow but an unfortunate one considering people were already saying he looked like him. :p ;)
