I really struggle to understand the thought process of some of these reality show people when they quit work to go on a show like this and then have nothing to go back to when they get out or don't have money stashed away to ride it out until they find work again. At least on The Block they all have a chance to make decent money even if they don't win and even then they only compete against 3 or 4 other couples usually instead of 20+ like BB. Yeah it's a life experience and blah blah blah but very few people from Aussie reality shows of any genre have managed to turn their stint into something long-lasting so I find it hard to sympathise when they leave the house floundering. What did they expect would happen - they'd become a big star? Even the ones with a discernible talent like singing or cooking usually don't turn their 15 seconds into something substantial. Meh, maybe I'm just becoming a fossil but I truly don't get it. *This isn't necessarily directed just at Jazz... a few HMs this year have me thinking the same thing.

This has been on my mind too. Jazz is a frequent reminder of this happening. I'm just hoping that the new year is their reasons. Like you though, what were these hm's expecting? I know Tim has something happening and he is quite good at teasing us with ideas (bastard lol), Ben has something in the works too, even ed is trying to get in there. Some of the hm's are just expecting though.

On another note, what hm's have gone back or found a job? I know caleb and tahan are back in the workforce, that's all I think.

Edit: Heidi, Xavier, Ed, Nathan, Justynn, Sharon, Matt, Caleb and of course Mikkayla starts her new job soon. Thanks to [MENTION=37335]prufrock[/MENTION] for the update

Heidi, Xavier, Ed, Nathan, Justynn, Sharon, Matt, Caleb and of course Mikkayla starts her new job soon.
Jade and Tahan are working fairly regularly on fashion shoots too, although I doubt it's netting them big money.

Jade's been working quite a bit, and Ed is apparently supposed to be back at work in January. Haven't seen any signs of Boog working, and I don't thin Maddie has mentioned anything. The Sugars have been doing whatever it is they are doing on the GC, and I guess Mikkayla is not working as school is on holiday, she was a casual teacher anyway, and she has landed her radio job. Heidi has been working since pretty soon after she left the house I think.

No idea about the others

I forgot about most of these hm's. That's terrible on my part. Not that they weren't worth remembering but since they aren't discussed as much, I just couldn't think of them. The ones I did remember, I had no idea they were back in the workforce.

I forgot about Heidi tbh. I also forgot mikkayla went from teacher to radio hosting- good for her though. It's not easy making a change, but I truly hope it works out for in the long run.

The sugar sisters are the ones I don't get. I know one is a nurse, and the other a teacher in the making. She still studies and I'd say she has uni break.

Tully and Jazz need a holiday? NEED A HOLIDAY? from what? they are on bloody holidays. what they both need is kids, then they'll know when they need a bloody holiday. GODS SAKE WOMEN

Long distance relationships are difficult, some people are suited to deal with it some are not (Tully). Tully needs constant attention and when she doesn't get it she starts with the dramatic emo crap to get attention and the oh look at me and my cute dog.
