Looking at that story the DM published on the new BB commercial...I have a strong feeling the show has actually been paying them to publish stories on last years HMs lately as an attempt to use last year's success to build hype and attention for the new season.
The whole thing was confusing me because I couldn't imagine many of the general public caring about ex HMs enough for the DM to publish the stories on their own, and while I guess Tim and Tahan could afford to pay for the stories that were published about them, I couldn't work out how Tully and Jade could afford to pay for them.
If BB has paid for the stories as a publicity stunt though then it makes a lot more sense. If I recall some of the first articles with professional photos came about at the Sydney HM hunt, which all of a sudden makes complete sense if they came from a person or persons paid on the inside.
I enjoy the new pictures we get with those articles (not the articles themselves so much), but I was still completely confused why they were written to begin with - although Alicia did meet Tim, Jade and Tahan at the Arias and seemed to really like them so that might also help explain why she writes about them a lot.

I feel sorry for and I do worry about Ben.
This could all be very damaging for someone who is struggling mentally. He has had a great year after BB and it seems it is all slowly drying up for him. Like anyone he will feel despondent and anxious about his future, but for someone with a history of anxiety and depression this will hit him hard.
I'm not sure what sort of career he could pursue but hopefully there is a business out there where Ben could be doing something like meeting people general PR and good times.
I really hope he finds something and doesn't just lock himself inside his unit.

Work is well underway on the new Big Brother house ahead of the upcoming season of the Channel Nine reality show, and Daily Mail Australia can reveal the first look at the residence.
Located on Queensland’s Gold Coast just outside of the Dreamworld theme park, the dwelling which is inhabited by the Big Brother housemates every year, has undergone an extensive renovation, which looks to include an elevated living space and a second, possibly secret pool.
In the expansive backyard a new pool has been constructed, a significantly bigger swimming hole than last year’s housemates enjoyed.

Secret pool? Separate to the main pool in the expansive backyard is a smaller, secondary swimming spot tucked away from plain sight inside a walled area
Added to that is a second, smaller pool tucked away in a walled area.
Another new addition is what looks like a treehouse perched up on top of the garden wall, looking out over the backyard.
In April, a Channel Nine publicist told Daily Mail Australia the Big Brother abode wouldn't just be building out but ‘building up’, and indeed it looks like the housemates will be treated to an upstairs living area.
Going up: As part of the renovations on the existing Big Brother residence, it appears a second level has been added to the home, giving this year's housemates more space than any season before them
Hideaway: Another new addition looks to include a treehouse. A small cubby-like space is perched above the garden wall, with a perfect view across the backyard
Fast work: The residence the season 11 contestants will call home is being completely transformed, with builders working around the clock to complete it in time
A new elevated space is visible from the outside, indicating the contestants will have more room than any other season before them.
Construction debris is littered around the property as builders continue working away to get the house ready for Big Brother’s 11th season, which will air in the coming months.
Viewers of Big Brother 2013 will recognise the area with palm trees and blue-coloured floor as the old showdown arena, meanwhile the green area was the Garden of Eden.
The peach painted area once contained the gym, loungeroom and bedrooms.

All new: The expansive garden has been grown even further to accomodate whatever plans Big Brother has in store for the housemates this year
Open plan: A variety of different living areas will allow plenty of room for drama to unfold among the brand new housemates
Anticipation is building for the new season after Channel Nine aired a cryptic and suspense-filled first promo on Thursday with host Sonia Kruger.
Following the theme of Noah's Ark, Sonia appears to be playing a God-like character.
The scene opens with the blonde orchestrating a cyclone-like storm as she encourages housemates onto a giant wooden boat.
Wearing a billowing Grecian dress with a cinched in black leather girdle, Sonia oversees the entry as what appear to be couples clamber onto the Ark.
It's huge! This year's contestants will no doubt be eager to make the most of the large swimming pool

Sonia has hosted the show since 2012 and will continue her duties this year.
