PSA - Priceline is having a 40% sale off all skincare minus suncare, tanning and Ego products until tomorrow night. Instore or online. My basket is currently sitting at $215 with heaps more for me to look at so if I'm back in here peddling ready to expire products in 9 months time, don't blow my cover.

your basket had better be as gold as those short short pants of Ed and Matt. you love shopping, it shows a little

haha yeah it kind of seems that way but in reality I'm more of a bulk shopper. I tend to buy a lot of stuff when I'm either hormonal or it's on sale and then I can go months without having to buy anything again. I buy my clothes overseas when the seasons change and everything's on sale and tend to stock up on on other stuff all at once too. Helps to keep the home harmonious too... I cop a raised eyebrow or two if my husband checks one of the credit card statements in a "get em" month but then somehow he forgets about it and is raving about how much we're sticking into savings the next few that follow. Like ripping off a bandaid lol

And yay SG - I'm happy you made it on! Prices are so jacked up here on most of these products that when you can get 40% off then it'd be almost a crime not to take advantage. Almost as good as we'd get in the US! xo

i am going instore today. i will be a rebel and buy the products that aren't well known, just because, that's all that's left #rebelwithoutbadpores #youneverheardofwhat

edit - i have a new tab ;)

i am poorer already but i will be richer later, i think that's it  i need a coffee for these decisions, what to get? :)

@Mrs Butterface, I try and buy almost everything on sale too. A few things I will pay full price because it's difficult to ever get them on sale- example Estée Lauder's double wear foundation, but even then, I just wait for them to make those deals where you spend 70 dollars and you get those miniature gifts. Mynetsale is great for the bigger brands like Estée Lauder. They do some amazing sales, daily too, but half the stuff you won't care about if you're like me anyways. I'm happy with any product that doesn't have me ripping into my skin during the colder months (sensitive skin Issues). And with a sale I'm bold enough to try something different and giving it a go.

I wish I could take a moment and think. Sometimes my get it done and out of the way attitude takes over without rationalising whether I need these things. The 40 percent won't help either ha

i am going to try Avene, i was tempted to use this brand before but i thought i would use it pretty fast and maybe it wasn't a good thing. 40% off, i'm getting it :)

kettle has boiled, and i just ate an 'Indulgent Donut' from Coles bakery section. i bought the passionfruit which has passionfruit icing with broken merigue on top and filled with the same flavour gel. they also come in Strawberry icing with little marshys and filled with jam, as well as caramel icing with caramel popcorn and filled with caramel. i stood there for a while wondering if they were worth the $4 for 4 until a little old lady came up to me and told me all about them, and now i eat doughnut, haha. i need those skincare products asap i think

edit - they are yummy :( :)

I bought the avene trixera balm. I think it was $20ish. Recommend it if you get eczema like in the cold wether. Love the light hydrator moisturiser too.

Those doughnuts sound yummy. But I will never allow myself to scoff that down, maybe a few bites though. I'm too afraid of diabetes :(

@camerashy1 don't ask me what to bloody get. I'm still sitting here debating! When I'm trying new products for my face I have to go research the hell out of them before I'll give up the loot. So I've got makeupalley, beautyheaven, boots and paulaschoice all open and I'm checking out all the reviews. This is also why I feel much less guilt when I do big shops like this. You best believe every product I eventually purchase is either a tried and true staple or has been researched more than my grad school paper haha

I'm the exact same! A few products will rarely ever go on sale and unless I know I'm going to the US soon or can wait for someone to ship it over for me, I'm paying full price. Although I admit I almost shit myself when I paid $40 for a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow a few weeks ago at DJ's that I only use for my brows once in awhile. Like come on now. But yeah, 40% off, I'm willing to give things a go (as long as they're backed up by reviews) and if they end up not working for me, I can at least say now I know and be thankful I didn't pay full price.

I'm signed up for all of those sale things that come through daily but I feel I get overwhelmed looking through them all which means I'm obv missing out. I should really set aside some time each day to sort this stuff out because I hate nothing else than finding out I've paid more than I could've with a bit of effort. Picks my ass bigtime for some reason and it's one of those things I won't forget each time whenever I look at the product - whatever it may be.

i have had 3 now so i'm a goner. i feel i will be addicted to them, and i have to buy bread so they'll be right there, next to my danishes. i will have to overdose on them to stop listening to their voices calling me :stop: :muted:

i am going with Avene as a dermatologist recommended it, and i trust them, they aren't a dentist. they teach other dermos at Westmead Hosp, and are very good in their field

For what it's worth, I bought all 4 products in the Indeed line. Those are all getting some killer reviews in the 30+ demo so may as well give it a go. Never even heard of this line before but apparently it's expensive and hard to get in Europe despite them sourcing some of the ingredients from The Netherlands so I like that too lol

I hear you! It's money wasting and time consuming to be explaining to the hubby why it's necessary to buy this stuff. I admit I can be a little vain (okay maybe a little more than a bit) and looking after my skin is a big deal. Though someone told me that using the wrong product can make your skin worse. And this is where I fault. I don't do my research well. It's laziness and I do myself no favours. I do try and do natural alternatives though, soMetimes. Recently I was told that baby curash will leave your skin feeling extra soft. It's without all those chemicals too and you better believe I have worn it for the third night now and although there's a bit of hard washing the next morning, my skin feels so soft and even seems fresher. Helps I have a toddler and a preschooler around and I had some baby stuff left over lol

If it makes you feel better, I miss a lot of those specials too. But if I'm in the mood and I want something I'll look at the email.

Okay well I'm going to continue looking up children clothes online. If anyone knows of a place where I can buy formal wear for kids, let me know. In store Bardot for kids had the most gorgeous outfit, perfect fit too, but I'm not willing to pay 200 plus for an outfit for one damn occasion... Plus I have another child to dress.

Haha, I'm sure you will be fine, I'm only paranoid because I'm a pre diabetic.

Ha! I was recommended avene by the dermatologist too! I will buy pricier moisturisers but also cheaper ones too and then alternate tween the two. Not sure if that's the right thing to do, but my way of saving where I can. I should ask the professionals.

Okay back to shopping x

i have finished adding, now i have to do some subtracting. all the products are starting to sound the same, my face will be a walking moisturiser mache, i think i'll call that Botox

i can't help you with the kids formals :sorry:, but that is a lot to pay for an outfit. is it for a wedding?
