You know you've made it when you're offered a part in a "feature length adult celebrity movie".

WHERE DO I SIGN?

I made the mistake of asking the hubby about Lebron leaving to go to Miami, so I think I endured enough of that ha! He basically said everything you did @rj1 and bringing up Bosh too. He concluded that they had a chance to make history and they had the right team now to do so, the rest is politics to him as far as he is concerned. I think I suffered a great deal listening to his nba talk and also putting up with him watching some highlights this morning and arvo from the previous years. I think he would be more interested in convo, though I think he was impressed that I showed some interest and appeared to have some knowledge, so thanks guys :)
I'm sorry but your hubby is very very very wrong. With basketball having only 5 players per team on the court at any one time, 1 superstar (let alone 3 Top 10 players) makes a world of difference to a franchise.

What they did goes against all the values of the true greats of the game. They basically rigged the competition by creating a super team that the vast majority of other NBA teams simply would find it impossible to match. And it was all because LeBron didn't have the heart to fight through adversity.

Instead of being ashamed of themselves, they even boasted about it how easy winning championships would once they got together. Like I said previously true NBA fans see their actions for what it is, cowardice at its very worst.

Be honest, you so would watch this if it happened.

I've heard all those excuses before. Pippen was pretty average when he was first drafted to the Bulls and Pippen himself admitted that working out alongside Jordan helped him raise his game to a new level that he probably would never have reached without his input.

You can't put all the blame on the poor Cavs for not attracting top talent to their city, it's incredibly unfair and reeks of Lebron nut hugging. Some of the blame has to go to Lebron for failing to have the personality and leadership qualities that other free agents would've been enticed and eager to come over to Cleveland and join him in his quest for a chip. Let's face Lebron does not have the killer insitinct of a true great such as Jordan. His cramping antics in Game 1 is evidence that he is very soft mentally despite his menacing bulging physique.

Villain purely in a sporting context. He is a weak soft prick for not sticking it out like a true champion would and instead chose to join his girlfriends Wade and Bosh in Miami, basically to have an easy path to the NBA finals every year. That my friend is what many NBA fans find utterly despicable and worthy of contempt.
lol you've called him a villain, a prick, soft, mentally weak, called his cramping 'antics' and Wade and Bosh his 'girlfriends'. You just hate the guy very much. Almost too much. But that's fine. Its definitely clouding your judgment though. No point in debating this anymore. Like I said, I come here to forget about basketball and the opposite is happening :bang:

As someone who has lived in Miami all my life and been a Heat fan just as long, I come here to get away from NBA talk after a frustrating loss and what do I see...

You got guys in the NBA asking for trades while still under contract, guys with arrest records, guys cheating on their wives with teammates wives (Tony Parker), and yet Lebron, who has been with the same girl since high school and has never gotten into trouble off the court, is the villain because he was a free agent and did what was in his right and signed with a new team? Please..As for his accomplishments in Miami never being seen in the same light, only those who have this over the top the hatred for him will actually think that.

Its not like he is Gilbert Arenas bringing guns into the locker room and making fun of that on the court, acting like he did nothing wrong. But "The Decision" was such an ugly spectacle. To have such a massive ego that you feel the need to have your own 90 minute television show to say five words (I am going to Miami) was gross. What made it worse was that he had not told Cleveland he was leaving and they found out on the day. I hate to think of how many kids who loved him and the Cav's had to endure that ugliness. There was a classy way to handle that departure and I don't think he did that. He had every right to leave and honestly his previous teams owner acted just as poorly. But he did not handle it well.

Beyond that, he is one of the best players in the game and I respect the fact that he was willing to acknowledge his limitations. Its rare for players to win championships without support (Mikan and Hakeem) and now he has titles. And what are legitimate Miami fans who loved Wade, Shaq and Alonzo to do? Turn on their team? Can't do that, its your team.

Sorry to bore people, I can't remember the last NBA conversation I had.
