Come on, give me a break, what do they define as "accomplishments"? And isn't "personality" individual - so everyone is 100% their personality? And same with "Profile Originality". Seems to be more of an insult to women as opposed to anything else

I don't see how any of those (questionable) criteria qualify someone as bachelorette of year. Very vague. "Personality" and "accomplishments" sort of make sense but they are pretty subjective. Does the Bachelor/Bachelorette of the year mean someone who people would want to date?

and Tully has invited her along to a couple of 'girly' days since she moved to Sydney so whilst the two of them are never probably going to be best buds Tully did make an effort

To be honest I think Jade has a very different kind of friendship with Tully than she does with Tim. It seems a lot more superficial. Tully has invited Jade to a couple of events she's had with a big group of friends but we don't have any indication that they've actually spent any time together one on one, much less the amount of time she spends with Tim. Also when she says she and Tim connect on a spiritual level it implies that their friendship probably runs pretty deep.

Also I'm not sure she meant "stuck by her" in the literal sense of simply spending time together. I get the sense that the thing with her and Ed may have ended a bit less amicably than they've said (Jade unfollowed and re-followed him on Instagram a lot telling me there were issues there) and I wouldn't be surprised if in a way the other HMs chose "sides" given how much of a talking point it was. I think the "stuck by her" might have been more in reference to her feeling that Tim had her back through that.

Do you think Mikkayla, Madeline and the Sisters didn't? I know they are further away geographically but they all seem to still get along and have caught up outside the house.

Jade hasn't seen the SS and Maddie for like 6 months. I think she's seen Mikkayla once since then. I'm sure they would have her back, but it's a lot harder to build up that connection when you don't actually see one another or spend time together.

Tbh I don't think anyone would "have to choose", but it's common that when two people you know break up their mutual friends naturally gravitate towards one side or the other. I don't think it would matter to Drew either way. He's in a different state to Jade and doesn't see her, and he never cared for Ed anyway so I don't think he'd be racing to be Ed's friend as it is.

DON'T GO ON BIG BROTHER! No that's a joke... (half joking). I'd tell myself to spend more time with my mother who is now lost to me due to early onset Alzheimer's. I'd assure myself that it's okay to want to kiss girls and it's okay to want to kiss boys - you don't have to pick a side. I'd warn myself against getting those two credit cards at 21, maxing them out and then ignoring them for three years. Finally I'd reassure myself that despite how hopeless you might feel right now- you WILL move on and fall in love again. And again and again...

AT THE MOMENT I'M ADDICTED TO…
Huxtaburger and Real Housewives of Melbourne. It's such a car crash of a show but I can't look away.

A BRIEF DATING HORROR STORY…
I've never even been on a date! I tend to meet someone and before I know it we're living together and arguing over which variation of foam soap to use in the bathroom. (Now that I think about it, that's kind of a horror story in itself...)

THE FICTIONAL HEROINE I MOST ASSOCIATE WITH IS...
Katniss. Because she doesn't take shit from anybody, puts her loved ones first and stands up for what she believes is right.

IF I COULD TAKE THREE ITEMS TO A DESERTED ISLAND, IT WOULD BE...
My iPad Mini, charger and solar powered generator. That way I'd have Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr to keep me occupied. A camera and Instagram to capture the serenity/hot dog legs. Gmail to let Dad know I was safe and iBooks for endless supplies of books. In fact I'm sure there's an app for 'Search and Rescue' or some kind of virtual flare gun so I feel like it's a safe bet all round.

MY BIGGEST GOAL FOR 2014 IS...
To get a regular, paid gig on TV. Preferably talking about pop culture and social media. To spend more time with my family and to discover more of the world.

A SOCIAL REFORM I STRONGLY BELIEVE SHOULD BE ENACTED IS...
Marriage Equality- it's a no brainer.
