Olympic Games: Paris 2024

I did see NZ on a shared boat. I liked their uniforms actually.
Yeah I guessed I must have missed it by half watching. Also I didn't know they weren't running in pure alphabetical order until it was too late. I saw Netherlands then an ad break (went to the kitchen for a minute) and then it was a country starting with P (Paraguay maybe?).

It was in French alphabetical order apparently. That’s why it was odd. Ivory Coast is Côte d'Ivoire in French, so came out with the C’s.

Exception with the last 3 being Australia, US (next two host countries) and France last as the host country.

Loving the swimming tonight even if it’s only heats atm…still find myself screaming my head off and clapping like a maniac…gods help me when it’s the finals.

Dropped in on diving earlier :( Mark Taylor a commentator? Haha! I think he knows less about diving than I do. But good onya Tubby!

Haha I love when they wheel out all the channel 9 people and just stick them on the most random sports and make them commentate.

Wouldn’t surprise me to hear Tracey Grimshaw on the skateboarding commentary in a couple of days time.

AUSTRALIA'S FIRST GOLD OF #Paris2024 🥇

Congratulations to cyclist Grace Brown who has won the Women's Individual Time Trial - our first-ever Olympic medal in this event.

Is it bad that I want to stay up all night and watch the games? I could sleep all day tomorrow but my hubby would probably be pissed off…hmmm decisions! On another note, I don’t understand how Richard Fox can commentate when his daughter is competing…when my sons were playing premier cricket I couldn’t even watch them play as I was far too nervous.

Back-to-back Olympic gold for @ariarnetitmus_ 🥇💚💛

Arnie stormed home in 3:57.49 in the 400m Freestyle to claim Australia's second #Paris2024 gold!

I subscribe to the Olympic motto of ‘faster, higher, stronger - together’ I really don’t like some of the subjectively judged sports. If you’re the fastest you win, if you jump further or higher you win, and if you throw further and lift more you win and with team sports if you score more you win. I really struggle with ‘degree of difficulty’ and ‘execution’ but perhaps that’s because I’m not completely au fait with the particular sports? Anyway, I don’t like them.

Completely agree. Anything that’s subjective, I do not like haha. There’s no real way to measure who’s the best in those sports, except someone’s opinion.

WHAT A SUPERSTAR! 🥇

With gold in the women's K1 Jessica Fox has become the only Australian to win an individual medal in the same event at four consecutive Olympic Games 💚💛

From FB:

Openly gay Olympic medal winner, Tom Daly, just won a silver medal in Paris with synchronized diving partner Noah Williams, who is straight. This pic of Noah giving Tom a kiss of gratitude after their win is beautiful.
