I need to up my posting count game if i want any chance of reaching 30,000 posts by the end of the year. If i fail i shall never look my self in the mirror again.

I am very confused about that. The whole bad boy stuff.

Does it have to do with low self esteem? The reason that attraction exists?
 
Can you rephrase that, your questions are a bit jumbled.

Bad boy stuff - yes it is confusing. However, in my experience only idiots and psychos do that bad boys are attractive stuff.

Yes, that can be it, being with criminals because you hate yourself, feel unworthy.
Also, being very dumb, immature, thinking the guy on the motorbike is cool, until he is in a wheelchair with no legs.

Do you see any bad boys getting the girl on dating shows? Nope.
(exception was the slimey guy Bach no.2 I think, bald creepy guy - Sam was dumped by him I think, they picked a BAD MAN)

Maybe some females looking for masculine types get confused with badness too???

Do you think the reverse applies too? Low self esteem guys attracted to bad girls?

But the thing is that bad can encompass so much. Does it mean a person with a criminal record? Or does it mean someone who is a bit rude?
 
Trying to think of bad boy examples we could analyse.
Rude does not equal bad boy, you can be a bad boy and charming and polite.

I am thinking, back after Sam Pang time, ie Have You Been Paying Attention. I love Sam.

I'm not nice. But i'm not bad either. Where i fit into the spectrum, like the rest of humanity, is probably too complex for people with such black and white views on attraction.

Bryon’s father (known as “Mad Jack”) left his mother when Byron was still very young. Byron’s mother suffered from depression after that. His grandfather killed himself. Byron also wrote that his governess used to crawl in bed with him at night and, as he put it, “play tricks with my person.”

  • The deaths of Keats, Shelley, and his five year old daughter Allegra left Byron heartbroken, and searching his soul.
  • A true Romantic, he went off to fight for the Greeks in their war for independence from the Ottoman empire. He died of an infection (not an STD, surprisingly.) He is considered a hero in Greece – they built statues in his honour and kept his heart when he died!

Do i fit those characteristics?

Rebellious- Well i don't rebel in the traditional sense of the word (against authority figures, drugs, whatever). But i do rebel in the sense that I don't follow groupthink or peer pressure.

Passionate- When I find someone or something I like I put my heart and soul into it. So yes.

Ambitious- No. I am too much of a short term thinker to be ambitious.

Proud- I will never be proud of myself. But I will be proud of other people.

Above/beyond societal norms- I am in no way above the norms of society. But my aspergers surely puts me beyond societal norms in terms of my behavior?

Selfish- Very. I am probably the most selfish person here on this forum. I mean I had three threads named after me on this forum!

Sensitive- Can be at times. Especially when it is an issue close to my heart.

Strong- Not physically strong. No way. My hypotonia and poor motor skills take care of that. But I think I'm mentally strong. I remember that witty once told me that i had a inhuman amount of patience. Which is true I suppose.

Arrogant- In some aspects of my life yes. In others no way.

I don't want to die young though! I want to be immortal.

Interesting though the concept of idea v reality. How something might sound good, but in the real world it turn out to be anything but.
