It will likely never happen unless it goes back to 4. But knowing how tapes degrade after 10's YT streams, it might be in their best interest to digitise them if they haven't already done so. Would be a shame (tragedy) if those get lost to time.

Anyway, I hope next Sunday Mel gives us a tour of the house (like Gretel did the first couple seasons). My hope is it's also not a rush job. Has the length of the time slot been announced?

Wasn’t aware FNL was coming back or at least not full time. I do however think using it as part of a one off twist would appeal to the FNL crowd.

FNL was always to pad out Channel 10's local content quotas. I'm pretty sure the quotas are less than they used to be?

I think it’s a fair bet any FNL or Showdown ideas were scrapped early on. Also, looking at their current compound there’s not an inch of extra space for any sort of games arena.

Nah, in fact the opposite. In one of the very early marathons someone asked about FNL and the social media team said something along the lines of "for 2025, we're going OG. FNL is not OG".

I also saw someone ask about it on a TikTok live and they said no FNL, back to original format. Seems to be a lot of people asking about it though and thinking of it as original BB, maybe they’re slightly younger than me. I don’t mind if they do a little bit of that kind of thing as part of a task but not bringing it back as a weekly show. Not that they have the room anyway.

Oh yes, that's right. "2025" doesn't preclude it from returning next year though, unfortunately. A surprising number of people in the live chat want it back. Ugh.

I don't see FNL returning - if only because it will cause flashbacks to the Seven-era's challenges in the arena/"basement". I feel like they'll be wanting to draw firm line of the sand to not get mistaken for that format and will be unlikely to touch anything that could even remotely be misconstrued as being the same format.
