Well, in the the final Seven season - BB did narrate the Uncut episodes as Sonia refused to do it as the show didn't fit her "personal brand". So maybe he only watched Uncut. 😂

Aww I think a little nostalgia for the reboot on 10 is great! It’ll appease a lot of people, including myself. I saw it coming though. I suppose it’s no different to Marcus in the UK, however he’s working hard to stress and exaggerate his Geordie accent. It sounds more intense each passing year. Doesn’t even sound like the same guy from the first few series.
 
He toned it down a lot for his return at ITV - he really played it up at C5 and for me it was his narration that made it unwatchable. I've not really found it an issue at ITV.

Back to Mike Goldman and judging him as a narrator and he was very good in the original run. As a presenter though he was lacking, and as a person now I'm not sure he's someone the show should be associating themselve with although I'm sure he'd appeal to the stations US owners.

The nostalgia aspect is why I said I can live with it. As for Marcus the more he exaggerates his accent the more I find him unbearable.

I agree. He has become increasingly unbearable, but he's the only aspect of BBUK that's stayed across three channels. It would be weird at this point if he didn't provide the narration.

Sidebar, I wish C4 would re-release their original series. Some of the best series ever. But iI think it's a pipe dream.

I agree with you 1000%. It’s a shame they didn’t strike while the pan was hot when they aired Best Shows Ever. I mean they were clearly upset when ITV picked up the show so it was obviously something they’d been tossing around at one point.

It will likely never happen unless it goes back to 4. But knowing how tapes degrade after 10's YT streams, it might be in their best interest to digitise them if they haven't already done so. Would be a shame (tragedy) if those get lost to time.

Anyway, I hope next Sunday Mel gives us a tour of the house (like Gretel did the first couple seasons). My hope is it's also not a rush job. Has the length of the time slot been announced?

It’s what Mike Goldman did, too. He was initially involved with the 7 version as well and hosted a Facebook show that nobody really cared about.
