Masterchef 2017

That's good. I think it's because I'm not a cook, so if there's cooking that isn't in the context of an elimination, I find it really boring to watch. Maybe I'd feel differently if I was going to use the recipes.

...the trouble with some of the recipes on shows like this is that by the time you go and buy all of the ingredients and the amount of hours that you spend on making it all it's probably cheaper to just go out to a restaurant and order the bloody thing!... no washing up afterwards either lol!... cheers.

...I have to assume that what they're cooking tonight will be posted on the website afterwards because it they aren't doing that then why show it in the first place?... just saying... cheers.

...please!... please!... Please!... one of you have the guts to say to George... "not too good mate... I've tasted better!"... lol!... it would never make the edit would it?... lol!... cheers.

...a guest Chef tomorrow night... some guy called 'Ben Drury' was it?... does anyone actually know who is by any chance?... cheers.

...well thanks again for the fun folks... a tad bit 'ho-hum' of a show for me tonight but I do have to say that I love it regardless of who annoys me on it lol!... it's always just great fun posting with you all... cheers.

I have the easiest beetroot salad recipe ever. Take one can of diced beetroot. Using port wine jelly crystals dissolve in a cup of boiling water and add the beetroot liquid. A splash of vinegar. I also added some chopped spring onion tops for colour. Super easy and portable.
So, it's like a beetroot jelly? Do you slice it up or just serve in a bowl?

I have watched every season of Masterchef and quite a few of the other ones too - and I've attempted one of the recipes. One!!:);)

...this guest Chef I've never heard of until they said something about him in the last show... does anyone know him?... cheers.

...I always get the irrits when someone like this Chef guy walks in and they all coo and swoon and overly applaud them as if they are Rock stars... it's just someone that cooks after all... big whoop!... (unless it's Nigella or Maggie or Luke of course lol!)... cheers.

...why is it that they all tell the camera that they are going to 'panic' when their task is announced?... I mean... seriously why would they be 'panicking?'... they have watched the show before hopefully?... surely they already know what to expect wouldn't they?... oh!... sorry... I forget that have to play up to the cameras right?... cheers.

...so this is an 'invention' task tonight eh?... well they should all be able to cook something that they've cooked many times before logically...so there should be no excuses tonight hopefully... cheers

...it's Trent's turn tonight to tell his sob story obviously... you know... Trent!... yes there is a Trent on the show... no seriously... his name is on the apron and everything... honest!... cheers.

I tuned in a little late so came here to ask who 'Ben' is and why he matters. Thanks MrS - it seems I shouldn't worry I didn't recognise him.

...hahaha!... hi qtkt... there are a few on here that you wouldn't know exist because of their bad edits as my post above hits upon... 'Ben' being one of them... not to be confused with 'Benjamin' the big-mouthed love-me-do Lawyer... I can't stand the idiot... cheers.
