Masterchef 2016

...I think that the Masterchef judges and the My Kitchen Rules judges should do a crossover and judge each others contestants for a couple of shows... that way neither would have their favourites and would most likely judge them on their food alone... oh for God's sake... who am I kidding?... **Sticky gives himself a quick uppercut**... what was I thinking? :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::rolleyes::frown:... just ignore this post folks... cheers.
 
I really HATED the way the judges smugly revealed their three tens for the guest chef at exactly the same time. So much for any notion of them arriving at an honest score on their own. You can just imagine Gary whispering "remember, stick to the plan" to ensure the guest won.
 
Don't know the Grand Finale date. Last year finished at the end of July, which would mean around 5 weeks to change the edit favourites before they bore the living shite out of us.

High budget this year, I'm tipping it to be an at least 13 week series. Don't be shocked if it runs until early august. The finale will most likely have been filmed 2 months ago. But yes a majority of the contestants this year are boring as shit. The past 3 or 4 weeks now we've lost contestants with huge edits and a most of the top 11 contestants didn't even get introduced until week 5 or 6. Editing team did a horrible job this year and I for one am disappointed.
 
I think the show does need a re-jigging.

I just get the feeling there is more and heavier backstory editing this year.
Perhaps to compete and draw MKR crowd?
That was always the difference for me. A show about cooking as opposed to a show about characters who happen to cook.

Who knew Coles had their own freshwater lake and river systems that skilled piscatorian coles technicians (fishermen) really get you the catch of the day.
Damn their fish is fresh!
