I am tempted to think Julie's ch 9 popularity is just as much about her look as it is her cooking. She is totally relateable for all the housewives.

Do you really think so? I think my mother might relate to her in her day but I don't find her so. But then again, my mother ran a large government department until she was 68 so maybe she wouldn't either. I think Julie is very old fashioned. She trades on homely old fashioned cooking and a lot of people don't cook like that any more.

I've never been a fan of Julie, her hair annoys me and I was never into her hearty home cooked food theme.

Every single dish tonight looked mouth watering, I am now planning a trip to Chinatown tomorrow I have a yearing for an Asian braised chicken dish.

I hope Audra and Amina put out cook books regardless of their final placing.

Mindy can go home now.

Why didn't Amina get the same kind of immunity challenge? When they were in Tassie, she had the cook against a chef using his recipe.

It doesn't seem fair that her challenge was so different.

I allways switch to something else tuesdays, so have never seen an entire one these things, seems too stupid.
So Amina or somebody could cook in every 3 person chef challenge, win your bit each time as back up team, get no pin.
Get to the end and you have cooked more than anyone else, your buggered, too tired to win - and to really piss you off, someone you got a pin with your dish uses it against you..............

So what's the deal with Audra running a catering company or something?

Audra not Andrew ichi. Not that Audra was that much more exciting anyway!

Did anyone tape last nights ep? Did Mindy's hat change colour throughout? I swear it had blue stripes and then no stripes in different shots.

And to tonight's theme, bad luck for your whole life if an entree is late? Calm yourselves down please.

So Ben is going to refuse to cook off against Emma tomorrow night. He says if it will save her spot, he'll withdraw from the competition. That's a bit rude, he's all but telling her that the only chance she has of staying is if he walks. He's probably right but it's still a bit rude. She might beat him without him having to fall on his own sword. I wonder what the producers will do.

(for anyone who didn't see it, it's not a spoiler..it was all in the preview for tomorrows show after tonights episode)

Yeah I was surprised at that. I wonder if it is the end result, would they really give that much away in the preview?

My guess is that they'll talk him around and he will cook off against her. I agree, they wouldn't give all that away in a preview if that's what ends up happening. But hey..guess what...we get to see Emma blubbering again. Lucky us. <roll eyes>

It does give away more than they needed to though. I mean it's only Ben and Emma so the tension is off in a way, but if it had been Amina or someone I don't think I'd like to know 24 hours early whether she was in the bottom 2 or not.

A better, more exciting edit would have been to see Ben say that, but cut away from who he didn't want to cook off against.

Poor Ben, lol, but this is exactly how it happened.

Ben, who is rapidly becoming reminiscent of a Labrador, starts staring vacantly back and forth between the shiny things, and ponders how many times he will have to stamp his foot to count that high.

Sadly Ben is not a strategic labrador, and has sent all the best examples of his favourite vegetable to be made into curry. As Kumar explains that this is a bad idea, what with the need for big bits of cauliflower in other dishes, Ben smiles. Kumar said cauliflower. He knows that word. Kumar asks Ben where the cauliflower is. “The curry” smiles Ben who knows he’s got another answer right and is hoping for a treat. Kumar tricks him though by asking what they will do with the left over cauliflower then. “The... curry?” suggests Ben, but he’s sad now, he senses he’s not getting the biscuit. Still he smiles hopefully. Kumar says he’ll have to buy more cauliflower. Ben hopes he can buy some biscuits too.

You could see Ben's had enough.
He's had enough of the questionable way the whole deal is going.....his comments after feeding 450 peeps and disapointment, and he's right. Probably a challenge where they use the contestants as free labour for so many.....not really very nice doing an elimination.
