The Martian. Was way better than I expected. I love those kinds of films, rescue or disaster films. Rewatched San Andreas. That is an epic disaster film.

Bahahaha, I'd never wear that shirt... Not into star treck..... Love the phrase tho.

Saw new Star Wars. Enjoyed it for the most part. Although Finn's character change was a bit too abrupt for me.

Thought Harrison Ford was the best part of the movie. He was great.

I liked the hair of Kylo Ren and Poe. It looked cool.

‘Room’.

It starts with Jack, who lives with his mother in Room (pretty much just a shed with a small kitchen, bathtub, wardrobe, bed, TV). It’s all he’s ever known, and Jack believes that only Room and the things it contains (including himself and his mother) are "real." Once Jack turns five, his mum starts to let him know the truth, and how they got there.

I read the book (by Emma Donoghue) so thought I would prepared. I was not prepared. Eyes leaking (damn onions), lump in throat etc. Really well done, and the acting by Jack and 'Ma' was brilliant.

I saw "Joy" today. It was ok I guess. J Law is great as usual, and the movie is an alright story (woman overcomes adversity to achieve great things) and has all the thematic elements of female empowerment as its 'schtick' but it felt like a lifetime movie that got carried away with a big budget. A woman inventing a mop isn't really the stuff of great movies after all.

I liked The Fighter from that director.

Revenant

I really enjoyed the film, amazing film making at work. It's longer than it needs to be. Honestly while I really enjoyed it, I can't imagine ever watching it again in full. Maybe just bits of it.
