Behind the Candelabra
Really entertaining and enjoyable film. Although while it's very funny at times, also a bit sad. I'd say it's a must see. Michael Douglas is really good as Liberace. Also whatever they did to Rob Lowe... wow.. lol

I just finished one of the lamest horror movies I have had the misfortune of of sitting down to.
Pulse 2006 Starring Kristen Bell
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0454919/combined
Basically a ghosty / horror story about ghosts that come out over the internet via wifi or mobile phones. Don't ask me how because even the explanation in the film makes no sense really.
A film to avoid.

WWZ - mehsville.
Oblivion - Not bad @ all even though it does feature Mr Scientology. Be interested in a Bluray director's cut, especially if it has special features on how some of the drone stuff was done.
Beautifully shot and lovely scenary ... but now it is back to the bleakness of season 2 of "Falling Skies".

SAPIOSEXUAL
Did anyone else see Four Lions? Last Friday night on SBS. Or elsewhere?
If you didn't or haven't seen it, it's an incredible movie. About a bunch of dickheads who decide to become terrorists - and it's blackly, very black indeed, very funny and disturbing.
They are so incredibly dumb and fuck up everything, and it's during the London marathon - freaky.

Not a movie but LSCP and I enjoyed watching, quite by accident due to LSCP doing some channel surfing, "The Last Woman Standing" on ABC last night.
Really great to see such positive and healthy and nicely spoken lasses (for a change) from the UK and such a good natured Brazilian tribe. The challenging tribe (not the training tribe) were a bunch of rotters though ... head butting, hair pulling, throwing dust up in the visitors face !
Still, over all the entire viewing experience was positive though I didn't think it was a good idea for foreigners to allow their skin to be broken in such a way in such an environment. Presumably they had their shots both before and after though.
You too can watch that episode on iview from here: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/programs/last-woman-standing/
LSCP has already programmed in the schedule for next Tuesday. W00T.
Looking forward to Charlie Boorman's (formerly the lad who was the main character in "the Emerald forest") "Extreme Frontiers" on SBSHD/SBSONE @ 8.35 tonight.

Saw the Steve Jobs film wasn't too bad. I think Ashton did a pretty decent job of playing Steve. Was really surprised that Jobs was such a jerk to his first child though!
The funny thing is, a lot of people that new jobs have said the film was portraying him in a good light. They had the hero worship mentality about jobs through and through.
So it is interesting that apparently Jobs comes off like a prick, but this is a rose tinted glasses version of him.

Yeah I saw it a few years ago. Funny film, a bit dark. Like sitting around the breakfast table with the family discussing doing a terrorist attack. Apparently it was inspired or something by a lot of incidents that a lot of would be terrorists really are idiots and have done and come up with stupid plans.
Chris Morris who wrote and directed it is a genius though. Some of this stuff is so messed up, but so clever.
His Brass Eye special, 'Paedogeddon' is so well done. However it'd never ever get shown on TV in Australia.
It's really good satire, but due to the nature of it. Some people would just be shocked and unable to see it for what it is. Which kind of fits into the point it's making.

I can definitely see where they push Jobs as the good guy, especially when he gets ousted. And the hero worship is hardly subtle for example when he returns to apple the employees are practically genuflecting.

Is it true the opening scene is really unintentionally hilarious? Where it's him unveiling the ipod and everyone's going nuts with applause even though he hasn't even said what it is or does?
Elysium
Was very good.
Kick Ass 2
Loved the original and while it's not as good, it was still really good. I don't get some of the negative reviews and comments about it. It was really good. Good story, good characters and pushed the story into new area's. More adult and focused on the reality while still being silly and comic book.

Yes! Plus that whole scene is kind of pointless because the scene is set in 2001 then we flash back to the beginning (1970s) and see the story but then the movie ends in 1997. So it's like why was that scene there!?
caz71 Marky Mark also looked old.
Pain and Gain. Marky mark looked huge!!
That was a good film. It was one of those films that did kind of just leave you stunned. You weren't like, 'wow that was really good' or 'wow that sucked.' You were just kind of left entertained not sure what to think. To me that's a sign of a good film. It's like like.. wow that was quite something else.

I've heard Elysium was craparama. However, I don't trust the source, so I'll probably watch anyway.

I started to love Marky Mark when he stopped being a racist loser and began having a bit of comic timing. Can a racist loser really start to be lovable? I'm unpredictable and easily led, so I'd appreciate some guidance on the Marky Mark appreciation.

I could see some people might have a hard trouble getting their head around the very on the nose political and human rights themes. Where it'll either put them off completely, or their own ignorance and idiocracy will blind them to how close to the truth the film is. Also there's the fact the film, for all it's ending. It offers no easy answer or solution at the end when you think about it.
I read some hilarious right wing website posts and comments about it.
