Last movie you saw

it's funny cute though, Dory and the seagulls make it ;) And I loooove the old stoner personality of the sea turtle, lol

The seagulls are fabulous. And the sharks with their meetings. I feel like watching it now...

I can talk whale!

i was going to wait for someone here to see it ...but against better judgment i went and saw "Knight and Day"...as predicted I thought Tom Cruise was really suited to his characters personality...I was actually dissapointed in Diaz.. she has a major case of trout pout with really weird eyes that were overly distracting.

I really liked the plot...just didnt like the ending :/

probably didnt help that 2 teenage girls decided to sit behind us and talk the whole way through the movie...laughing at times where nothing was funny,,and chewing on popcorn so loud i thought i was going to puke :( yeah yeah we should of moved seats but its the principle of the thing...we were there first PLUS by default they should of shown common decency :( grr lol all good atleast it gave myself and my housemate something to bitch about afterwards :)

Sometimes when Cameron Diaz does that with her mouth it's not a trout mouth but a cat's bum..... She can be really good in one movie and shocking bad in others.....

I don't like critics cause they're paid to be critics... If I like a movie I will go see that movie and I plan to go see this one.

This looks like a fun movie but I don't think I'd pay to see it.

Who is Emma Stone anyway?

Toy Story 3

It was quite good. Not much to say really, it was just kind of surprising it was more plot and story driven than focussing on jokes and being funny. This wasn't a bad thing at all, it was funny and entertaining. Just interesting and kind of cool they put story first once again in place of what Dreamworks do when they make their films by the amount of jokes they can cram in.

But yeah you know to expect it as good. It wasn't great or as good as something like Up! though.

Anyone know how little kids find it?

Carriers 7.5/10 such a great movie, think Zombieland with a lot more depth, a really well done character driven drama set in a post apocalyptic world where everyone has died/is dying from a virus and there are few survivors.

Daybreakers 7.5/10 great idea for a film, great execution although i think it would have been even better with another actor at the helm, Ethan Hawke was a bit flat and Claudia Karvan was awful

I watched Carriers a couple weeks ago, I'd give it a 7. Not bad, I enjoyed watching it.

...and I got Daybreakers out last night but could not get into it at all, didn't even finish watching it - their eyes really irritated me because it made all of them look so expressionless, although maybe it was just the acting.

Gentleman Broncos on DVD

from the people who brought you Napoleon Dynamite, well you can tell.. It's one weird, random movie! A kid writes fantasy novels and he goes to a writing camp where the special guest steals one of his story ideas cause his publisher was going to drop him. There's another Pedro in it and a weird but funny dorky girl.

Also his mother is placed by Jennifer Coolidge and she's friggin hilarious in anything she does!

6/10 not as good as ND but was good.

Claudia Karvan only ever had one good movie...She's not a good actress.

I actually was tempted to walk out of the cinema I was so bored with it.

Like the story and production value was good, but it was just too slow and lacked any real style or feeling to make it interesting. The music was also terrible. It really is an example of something that fails because the directors have no talent.

Yet Hollywood loves the guys that made this and is throwing money at them..... Go figure.

"How to train your dragon" on Qantas inflight entertainment.

Loved it, and looking forward to owning it when it comes out on DVD.

Also saw "Predators" at a quaint little theatre in Queenstown, where the single row of balcony seats were so raised up that you could reach up to touch the ceiling and one had to be careful not sit to high in the chair lest one's hair got in the way of the projector.

Excellent theatre to see "Predators" at, as it was like being in a spooky cave.

As for the movie ... hmmm.

Well at least (thanks to playing Modern Warfare 2 on xbox) I was familiar with the human firearms being used. The AA-12 used by the main character has been a standard secondary weapon of mine for ages ... though with a straight clip rather than the drum clip featured in the movies.

Sound effect and rate of fire seemed the same.

AFAIC though, better to see "How to train your dragon" twice than bother with "Predators".

regarDS

I watched Legion the other night. It was entertaining, not as action packed as I liked. It suceeded in having a film about god sending angels down to posess people like demons to kill humans and especially an unborn baby that was to be the saviour with out being silly. It was decent entertaining, but nothing you need to go out of your way to see.

Why would god send angels to destroy the saviour? Has god gone bi polar?

Mudcake, according to imdb..
An out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner with the Archangel Michael (Bettany).

mm looks kinda good

I've been watching some Charlie Chaplin films lately. Namely The Kid, Modern Times and City Lights. All of which were beautifully done.
