Yes I think it is.I must admit I was playing poker online and chatting to a friend online while I was watching it.
And all those activities are far more entertaining.....

Oh I love the Abyss. I wont underrate it. Back when Cameron was the God of Directors.
The underwater pod, containing a psycho Michael Biehn, tipped over the edge of an underwater, well, abyss, and slowly falling as the pressure gradually crushes his pod... little cracks in the glass, more and more. Terror. Then *squish*.
I'll have to go search out the extended edition now.
Okay. I'll put it on my list.
Buckaroo Banzai - Adventures in the 8th Dimension.
It was so fun to see this movie again.
A whole movie of "Quirk".
It gave us the line "No matter where you go, there you are".
You've got Peter Weller as Buckaroo. A Japanese-American scientist/brain surgeon/stunt driver/80's Rock Band member/all round Hero, out to save the world from Doctor Lizardo, played by John Lithgow really playing it up and quite wild and hilarious.
You've got Rasta Aliens, Yoyodyne Industries "The Future Starts Tomorrow", bad 80's Rock, and a really cute end theme tune that I've put as my ringtone.
The Abyss Extended Edition
I still love this film after many years.
Anyone else here like this film or have any thoughts on it?
Yeah this is a great film. When i saw it in cinemas, i think i was just too young, always remembered it as boring. I was probably 6 or 7 when it came out. '89 yeah? Years later caught it on tv, really liked it. Then a few years passed and got the dvd and yeah really liked it. Only think i've seen the extended edition in repeated viewings. This is definitely on my re-buy on blu-ray when released list.
It's also a technically well made film, and the behind the scenes is fascinating.
I thought they were aliens?
non-terrestrial intelligences? NTIs?
Okay. I'll put it on my list.

How did you make the ringtone? Can you send me a copy?
I just got this movie today. It's been years since I saw this and your post made me want to go find it.
