Last movie you saw

Gonna watch The Happening tonight.

Goodluck.. did it suck? I thought it did lol

Ok last movie I watched was Right At Your Door on DVD it's about a dirty bomb that goes off in downtown LA and and a man's wife gets caught in it.

But don't be fooled it's not an action adventure about a man finding his wife it's all set in one place over a period of time and builds up to a  finish!

I watched "The Happening" and didn't like it.. I felt a cross between boredom and restlessness.

Meet The Spartans=Epic Fail!

It was horrible. Now, normally I love these types of movies, but this just wasn't even funny. Well.. the first 20 minutes were really good, but after that it just went downhill..

Body Of Lies. Was good, really good, but not my style of movie. Probably taking my mum to see Nights in Rodanthe this Sat.

watched Unfinished Sky with William McInnes on DVD....loved it, a real good watch.

It's about Farmer John and how he finds an Afghan woman refugee (who has escaped from a sex slave racket) and hides her and looks after her. She speaks no English and there is a good twist at the end.

PS Just found a download for Quantum of Solace...damm!!... it's in french though and no subtitles...so if you can read french...you might want to get it :D

No thanks that's piracy

I know have a fairly hypocritical attitude.
I don't download New movies. Firstly because new movies are usually crap quality... filmed with a handycam by someone sitting in a Kuala Lumpur cinema. And it's good the see a new movie in the best possible way, which is at the cinema or on a proper DVD. Downloaded movies look crap in comparison to the Real Thing. And if you see the next Bond movie in a crappy download, it spoils to opportunity to go to the cinema and see it.... you've already seen it, so why pay and to see again. A good experience lost.

But older movies. Sometimes yeah sometimes I'll go dl them. Maybe that's being too lazy to go to Video Ezy and paying two bucks for a weekly rental, and even then I realise that it looks and sounds better on DVD. I'm actually edging back into the DVD world now, not for any moral reasons. Just for the quality.

I download shitty movies I would never pay to see at the cinema....we are absolutely jumping out of our skin to watch this on the big screen....I will happily spend up to see Daniel Craig *sigh* and you are right, most times the top movies on the internet are crappy handycam jobs. Don't forget there are plenty of people who live in country towns and don't have cinemas...so I guess it's up to those who live in cities with cinemas to prop up the film industry!

Also...a single tv episode can cost $100,000.00 of thousands to make, so really you can't use that as a defence if you download tv eps...it's all the same if you ask me.

I saw SAW V and wasn't anticipating much, but it kicked the ass off the lameness that was Saw IV. Still not a stitch on 1 or 3 though.

At the DVD hire place, I stand looking at a wall covered in shit. There isn't a single movie that calls to me. I was hoping to find The Clone Wars, but it isn't available yet. Now I'm here, I might as well see something. I choose two, but need another to take advantage of a deal. That is how I come to watch I Am Legend.

Within a minute I know I'm dealing with extreme excrement. What kind of moron would hunt CGI deer in a sports car? The bean blower has a brain snap and gets out on foot, but then an incredibly lame CGI lioness jumps out, followed by a CGI lion. The CGI lion stands around looking like Mufasa, instead of greedily claiming the carcass as I know he should. I reach for the remote to press stop, but something stops me. I need to know how far down the spiral human creativity can be sucked.

The next scene hurts me. Seeing the stale prince in domestic routine is something I should have anticipated though. I deeply fear he'll start rapping at any minute.

Surely he hasn't exhausted New York's total supply of canned dog food already? Poor dog has to eat vegetables again.

Then a product placement moment of his fancy watch, telling him what he could deduce simply by looking out the window - night is coming. Time to barricade the apartment. Nice and safe, despite howling vampires outside, but where is the twat? Oh shit: he's curled up in the bath with his dog! I press stop. That is far enough down the spiral - I can go no further.

Next I watch Blood Diamond. Good performances, but it's just okay. I feel kind of proud for making it to the credits.

Still got Elizabeth - The Golden Age to go. My expectations are zero.

I've wanted these for a while so got the complete box set for Speed Racer today for $44 at ezydvd

Elizabeth - The Golden Age. It was reasonable, but more like an interesting TV series than a piece of cinema.
