Last movie you saw

I love Titanic :D I watched it a few weeks back. But I'm a bit of a Titanic nerd in general, so I think I love it more for the actual Titanic story than the love story.

Makes me cry everytime I see it though. :(

No yhou're only a Titanic nerd when you start buying books and models of the ship hehe :)

Ummm.... *blushes* I may already have models and books of the ship. lol

Cool....... Was yours a 3D jigsaw?

An old friend of mine whom I miss saw the movie 22 times and she had a huge model of the ship made in the form of a 3d jigsaw puzzle. In the actual lshape of the ship like a model but with jigsaw pieces.

Nope. I have a flimsy cardboard one that came free with a book. And a proper plastic model that we put together.

I never got around to painting it though, I have the most unsteady hands ever! I don't know where it is either, I think my mum used it for her class and it's hidden somewhere.

WALL-E.

For a film with such little dialogue, it's pretty amazing how funny and...well, deep the movie was. It was really, really good.

I loved Wall-E

I watched American History X the other night, im was once again amazed at how brilliant Edward Norton is, and the movie was so good, but it was so sad.

I was turned off the changeling from the preview. Woman loses son. Woman is victim of government conspiracy. Woman says I want my son back a million times. Woman gets sent to mental institution as a cover up. The only thing missing is whether she gets her son back, and I can't be bothered sitting through the predictable to care.

This is the best bit of Titanic. Gets me everytime...(Warning: MASSIVE spoilers if for some reason you've never seen Titanic - and it's not spoilers as in "the boat sinks" lol).

Based on a true story. That's why it might be boring for some. I'm still gonna see it.

*shudders* I was turned off after watching it too...I can't watch anything that has mother/child sadness. It frightens me...I find no pleasure in watching people suffer, especially someone innocent and helpless.

Yeah, i can't watch people be committed to mental institutions through no fault of their own (it's been done to death).

And just because it's a true story is no reason to see it. It's even more of a reason not to see it - there's another shit in the real world.

He's just not that into you! mehhhh I Was rather disapointed..great cast though!!

All the more reason to see it. Fictional horror fortifies the mind for real horror.

Exactly! I can't watch horror movies because I've always believed what I am seeing could really happen, lol. As a kid I watched a mini series about vampires and they showed two boys walking home at night through a forrest and the wind picked up and one of them got lost (taken by a vampire) after that and even now wind fightens the bejesus outta me. I remember watching Halloween and being terrified. I don't have the mental strength and stamina to watch them :o

Gran Torino - well I must say I was expecting big things after reading everyone in here loved it. I'd say it was a good movie but nothing I'd rave about. He is a biggeted, racist old fart who only changes this opinion when he is accosted and pestered by his Vietnamese neighbours.

Maybe he reminded me too much of my Grandfather (who made it to age 90 and had fought against the Japanese in World War II) he never held back from telling it like it was (according to him) and we hardly respected him for it.

I mean I got the message that the old guy came around in the end, but for me, it didn't make me sit up and taken notice of the film. Clint did well acting and directing but gee he's old now. The movie however does make me want to go out and buy some sort of box set of Dirty Harry :D
