I really liked Sicko, so I decided to rent Bowling for Columbine, i really enjoyed it, it was extremely intersting, and very entertaining.

^ Bowling for Columbine was good. I haven't seen Sicko. Say what you will about Michael Moore, but I don't watch documentaries generally and even I like his.
Are you kidding? What did you get up to? It's hilarious!
I started watching sarah MArshal..but it was too pathetic.

I highly recommend Sicko, Micheal Moore is a brilliant filmaker.
Last night i watched The Killing, I adore Stanley Kubrick, but it didnt really live up to my expectations, the first half of the film was a bore, I dont think im a big fan of the 'film-noir' type genre, but the second made up for it, i really enjoyed the ending.
I also watched Nouvo Cinema Paradiso, which was amazing. It had great characters, story, direction, it was stunningly beautiful. It also made me cry quite alot, instant favourite.

LOL yep. Stunts were great and unrealistic, but the movie was horrible. I've never seen the other 2 so I didn't exactly know what it was about.

I'm itching to see Reign Of Fire again everywhere I've been is not in stock..... EzyDVD has gone dow the toilet and most of my wishlist has items labeled "distribution delay" or "out of stock"
JB seems to be having similar problems with stock. I know beginning of the year, but not this far into January surely?

Doubt.
A film concerning a scrupulous nun/principal of a private school (Meryl Streep) and her paedophilic suspicions of the resident priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
The characterisations presented in this superb drama are faultless. The performances a pleasure to watch. Based upon a Pulitzer Prize winning play by John Patrick Shanley, who also directs.
Don't miss this film if you have a taste for thought provoking drama, or you want to watch some Oscar worthy acting.

watched
How to lose friends and Alienate People.
It was decent, but no where near as good as I hoped.

I watch the Prestige. Very different from the book, but Chris Nolan is a genius!
I love this movie.... And they made a role for Tesla within the confines of this story I thought that was great.
I also have the Illusionist but haven't watched that yet. Is that any good?

I personally didn't like the Illusionist, but I really liked the Prestige.
The illusionist, eh..... I just found it dumb. I did read something that shed a different light on the film, but over all I didn't think it was very good at all.

I finally saw Slumdog Millionaire, it was brilliant, i enjoyed every second of it. It reminded of the movie City of God, but it was still very original and individual. Definetaly lives up to the hype.

Finished that and have to say it wasn't that exciting. I didn't get the glowing ball thing he had in his hand? Was that really her spirit when he did that trick with the sword? Seemed more then just a mere illusion. The ending left me still guessing a bit. Like Meh what kind of ending was that........

A big annoyance i had was, the tricks were all done with cgi, and were beyond what's possible. So there was the whole.. is it real. But it was just them doing old tricks, in a flashy impossible way. It really ruined the film because the tricks were in the realm of, completely supernatural. I know the original tricks would look dull, but CG, completely unrealistic, plauseable in any other way but supernatural threw something into the film that confused it.

For the end an alternative explanation was that, Paul Giamatti only perceived it to have all been an elaborate illusion, when it wasn't because of his awe of the magician.
Overall it is dull, and at the end, he framed a guy for murder or some shit.. oh yes that's something to applaud.
