Last movie you saw

Well ths IS a movie aimed right at teens so yeah I wouldn't expect much either. Look how crap the new version of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" turned out. Keanu Reeves playing Klaatu and almost comatose...

And what the frack they couldn't stick to the original story. Instead it's quite craptacular...
That's a shame, I was going to go and see it. When did you see it? I didn't think it was out until Boxing Day

Last night I finally got around to watching Dark Knight. Pretty good, I loved the Joker character, I may find him and marry him lol. I was a bit disappointed that Two Face had really only a couple of appearances.

Trailers........ Long trailers. They could not hide the fact that "day the earth stood still" is going to bomb. Plus a ton of very negative reviews.

I am still going to see it though to make up my own opinion, but so far I am not feeling confidient and my comments reflect that feeling.

I finally saw "Burn After Reading" I can't decide whether I liked it or hated it but I did have a good laugh at the end.

Burn After Reading was a stupid movie.
My friends were like hey i think thats a scary movie so we went and saw it, and like the room was full of old people, we wasted our money.
Anyway i watched twilight yesterday, and I just watched Quarrantine again with my friends.

I was heaps disappointed with Burn After Reading. I love George but only Brad was mildly entertaining in the whole thing, even George wasn't that great.

Hmmm, I'm bound to like Burn After Reading if everyone else hates it. I've never known the Coen brothers to make a boring film.

It is a bit like "The Big Lebowski", only with computers instead of dope as the gonzo mojo.
It is well made, well played, sometimes witty and somewhat plotless.

The first scene (CIA headquarters, Arlington, Virgina) looks so much like something that Mike Mignolia drew, I got this disoriented feeling I was going to see Hellboy errupt from the basement any minute. It never quite left me.

Among the other things I found disturbing were the absence of actors under the age of 40.
This film is not at all predictable and nobody is what they seem. I wasn't bored (but the person I went with was).

City of Ember: stupid.

Planet Terror: work of art.

The Spiderwick Chronicles: shit.

Shinobi: mostly boring melodrama, though watchable.

Oooh Planet Terror...... So it'd be worth purchasing.

Have you seen Death Proof?

If it drops to around $12.00, like I saw for Death Proof the other day, yeah.

Of course I've seen Death Proof - Tarantino is my favourite living film maker. Though it is a seriously flawed work, with crappy, self-indulgent dialogue, and that kiwi stunt woman's performance, I loved every second of it.

that kiwi stunt woman's performance

Gosh, she was painful :/ Take her out of it and I would've really loved it. The first half of death proof was more fun to me, even though it was more dialogue that action.

We got tickets today to see this on Imax on Boxing Day, will let you know how it is :)

Twilight...had never seen it before or read the books so FINALLY catching up on what the world is obsessed with. And I LOVED it and will be reading the books as soon as I can!

Please post comments........

I love vampire movies and gotta know if this is more for teens or if I'd like it and i'm not a teen but a slightly older fart.

Mmm, well you might. Do you like romance/action movies?

I like action but not if the movie gets too over the top with the romnce. I hate shippy movies where Hollywood thinks it has to have a love story inside every movie. It cheapens a lot of good stories.

I just got the uncut version of Wanted for xmas and what seems like a ton of other things.
