Jason Appreciation Society

This is obviously where their huge budget went this year. Employing an army of staff to delete Facebook comments. Yet none of them can tweet out a few 30sec videos.
No joke, you're probably right. I just went back and edited that post as they actually deleted both of his other comments, not just one. So they've wiped him from their page altogether. I'm actually really pissed off now.

It seems they have told him to get off Facebook altogether. I can't find his name when searching for his name on Facebook.

omg they have too! I was on the brother's Facebook literally half an hour ago, now it's gone.

To repeat what I wrote earlier in another thread, I can't even begin to describe how disgusted I am that they are so willing to fake everything we are seeing out of that house, even going as far misrepresenting a HM to this extent! In my opinion, something as hugely sensitive as somebody's sexuality and/or especially their coming out story should NEVER EVER EVER be tampered with. If what we are finding out about Jason from his brother is correct, I will not forgive the BB producers for how they are handling this situation - let alone everything else they are currently doing to the show.

This story in particular goes against everything that the show is about, and while I get that Jason's "signed his soul" to BB to be represented in any way they see fit, not only is something like this damaging to his family but it's 100% totally manipulating viewers.

Not to mention, how is his family even gonna have the face to show at eviction shows and such now that everybody thinks they've disowned him? The producers need to be called out on this one. It's a disgrace and my frustration with this programme is reaching an all-time high since the latest season.

Again, it has absolutely nothing to do with the house, the twist nor the housemates, but the production and behind-the-scenes elements of Big Brother this year is letting the whole thing down and I am seriously at wits end with it right now!

Well it looks like we've identified the housemate the producers have chosen to coddle, protect and guide along the path to victory. Is Jason telling lies himself, or is it just a case of selective editing to make him into a more sympathetic and lovable character? Deleting the comments from his family just so they can perpetuate their artificial storyline is absolutely pathetic. No wonder they've discarded live updates completely. It's so unfair on all involved (except the production team, of course.) Fuck this shit.

Have they not learnt their lesson? Bradley was evicted 3/4 of the way through, and so was Ben. These housemates are more likely to win on their own merits, without the interference of the production team. I do like Jason, but I will end up hating him if I feel like I am being goaded into liking him.

All this for a cheap grab at ratings... the artificial storylines, the removal of the live updates/feed so they have free reign to spin house footage to fit into their preconceived idea of what will bring in the most viewers. Fuck this shit. They do it for ratings, but I don't think it actually has as much of an impact as they believe. The BB audience is a loyal one, and you don't need this shit to make us want to tune in for BIG BROTHER. If you mess with the format too much, we aren't going to want to watch. Recall what happened at the start of last year, where the daily shows were absolutely DIRE and the ratings dropped off dramatically? I hope people start tuning out in droves and they learn a lesson once again.

'It went downhill': Big Brother's Jason, 26, wells up as he tells his difficult story of coming out to his family and friends at age of 20

With his bubby and flamboyant personality, Big Brother’s Jason is rarely seen without a smile on his face.

But the 26-year-old real estate agent showed his more emotional side on Wednesday when he opened up about his sexuality and his story of coming out to his family and friends.

‘When I told my parents the relationship went downhill,’ the Canberra based auctioneer revealed of the moment he told his parents he is gay.

Emotional: For the 26-year-old real estate agent, it was tough to talk about his challenging experiences

‘I knew I was gay at 14 or 15,’ he said, revealing it wasn’t until he was 20 that he decided to share his news with his close friends.

While his friends were supportive of his sexuality, it was a different story with his parents.

‘It went downhill,’ Jason told his housemates, adding ‘it was never spoken of and I moved out of home.’

Unquestionably a sensitive topic for the dark-haired contestant, it wasn’t long before he shed a few tears.

Explaining the reason he finally came out was due to being in a relationship at the time, Jason also told the group that ‘the rest of the extended family don’t want to know about it.’

‘I know I’m very cheerful on the outside but it’s hard,’ he continued.

All housemates were very supportive of Jason, with housemate partner Dion moving to sit next to Jason while he candidly opened up.

Jason’s revelations came during a special ‘Headline’ game session where housemates took turns at explaining what headline would describe their lives.

For fellow dark-haired stud Jake, it was a career change that has been a massive personal highlight.

'For 15 years of my life I trained to be a professional tennis player,' he said, before revealing he knew it was time for a change when his passion for the sport translated to a fixation on money.

Single and ready to mingle: Blonde beauty Cat revealed she was married and after a divorce is now available

He's keen: Graphic designer Ryan was quick to cheekily ask Cat if she was on the rebound

The 25-year-old from Brisbane is now studying a Bachelor of Design and has a passion for writing.

Meanwhile newcomer Aisha from Sydney revealed a past life she led as a sassy WAG.

The 22-year-old who fronts nightclub doors said she made the decision to move overseas at the age of 19 with her then boyfriend so he could pursue a professional rugby career.

'You get pushed into a lifestyle,' the brunette beauty said, explaining life as a WAG was not her forte.

Blonde bombshells Skye and Lisa certainly didn't fail to impress with some killer headlines describing their loud personalities.

Bombshells: Skye said her motto is to fake it till you make it while Lisa revealed she has managed a strip joint in the past

WAG life: Newcomer Aisha revealed she moved overseas three years ago so her boyfriend at the time could pursue a professional rugby career

'Fake it till you make it,' was 20-year-old Skye's catchy headline of choice, saying she often projects a very 'intelligent' persona even if she isn't as clued in as she seems.

Meawhile 29-year-old Lisa from Sydney revealed that while she works in the fast paced world of fashion, she has also managed a strip joint.

Deciding to put on her sultry voice and demonstrate how she MC's at stripping venues, it wasn't long before Lisa had the male housemates' hearts racing.

And while it's early days there could be some romance in the air already.

When 31-year-old accountant turned midwife Cat revealed 'I used to be married and I'm single now', it sparked a certain cheeky response from 26-year-old Ryan.

Pressure is on: Katie and her partner Priya were nervous in the lead up to dropping their power play bombshell, with other housemates noticing their shifty behaviour

Decision time: Katie sported a pouch filled with $10,000 that she and Priya each received when they chose the cash over meals for a week

'Looking for a rebound?' the graphic designer asked the blonde beauty with a sheepish grin.

Big Brother has promised massive power plays this year and the storm got a little stronger when Heads Of House Priya and Katie dropped their latest bombshell.

Big Brother made them choose between getting $100 with no strings attached, $1000 and having all contestants go without food for three days, or $10,000 - with no food for a whole week.

Eventually the pair came to a decision, with the $10000 proving to be too tempting to resist.

It was time for the feisty pair to tell the housemates what they had decided.

Explaining the cash would help clear their debts, Priya and Katie informed the housemates they would be on meal replacement shakes for a week.

This is it: Priya and Katie had to tell their housemates what they were in for

1410357777085_wps_33_Big_Brother_2014_2nd_Laun.jpg

Shocked: Jason and Dion's faces initially dropped when they heard they would be on meal replacement shakes for a week

Surprisingly the contestants were supportive of the female pair, saying they would have done the same thing if they were in that situation.

When Big Brother’s diner opened later that night with a selection of desserts on offer to the housemates, it was a tempting opportunity for Priya and Katie to splash their cash on some food for the housemates.

But the duo resisted the temptation and alas, the housemates shall remain on meal replacement shakes for the meantime.

Understanding: The housemates surprisingly reacted quite positively to the power play, saying they would have done the same if they were in that situation

Disciplined: Big Brother's diner was opened later in the night, but with Katie and Priya not giving up their money for food, the housemates are still in for more shakes

Now I regret not messaging his brother when I was going to. I was going to tell him to come here so at least he could speak freely and there are journos lurking if he wanted to get his family's side of the story out but I worried he might find a stranger messaging him a bit creepy so I decided against it. I'm still a bit shocked his page is gone to be honest.

Could Jason have been stretching the truth a bit to get sympathy from the HM's and public?
maybe his fathers side weren't so keen, (or live in another state) if Jason's BF only recently met his father after dating 4 yrs?

hopefully his brother will clear things up

Well it's either that or they edited what he said. Either way they don't want the public to hear what his brother had to say. When I first read the comment and posted it in here, I was just doing it for conversation sake really. A skeptical person at that point might've wondered if Jonathan was merely trying to protect his family and what we heard Jason say was accurate. But then when his comment got deleted and I tried to repost it, that's when I knew something was up. Family members comment on their page from time to time and you'd think that would be encouraged by BB - especially this season when we're supposed to get the family and friends insight show. It's not a troll or some imposter. Anyone who saw his page would know he's Jason's brother, if for no other reason than they're practically spitting images of each other and it's not like he was trashing Ch 9 or Alex so there was no justification to delete his first post or mine or later his subsequent ones.

As for his father, I don't even fully believe that now. You could be right and it was just a matter of distance which he may have explained in another sentence or maybe it's actually his partner who wasn't ready to come out or maybe it's all bullshit. After watching this go down tonight I'm honestly at a loss.

At first I was like whatever you cliche, but then...

Big Brother fucked him with the whole watch schmozzle. What a crock of shit, why should he be punished for BB's crap quarantine? Such a setup.
I guess they left the watch in specifically so they could give him a chance to show off his auctioeer voice, just as they are deleting fb posts that contradict the family divided storyline.

Ohhh just soo soo sweeet !!! Love him already ...He is a potential winner for sure

I was in Macdonalds the other day, and the wallpaper said words like crunchy, sweet, juicy etc, and all I could think was about the focus group that lead to these positive food words to stick into people's minds as they ate.

The two posts above mine put me in mind of a meeting in the bowels of channel 9 that has decided 'sweet' is the word to push for Jason.

Sounds like the family is in a bit of damage control, not wanting to be publicly known as a bunch of homophobes. At least the brother acknowledged "It was a tough journey" (suggesting intolerance) and hopefully now they do support him.

It would be great if his brother could tell his side of the story, this is why I was curious of his ancestry, to try and determine if his story was true, half true, or completely taken out of context, as his story is extremely similar to one I have recently heard, and the reason in that situation was a cultural stigma around homosexuality in their community
