I wish I hadn't read it...OH Jade WTF
I want to know what happened with her unfollowing him and changing her pic and then this 'close friends' business. Maybe it was the emotions of Valentine's Day talking.
Anyway that's Jade I guess, she's not perfect, plenty of times I had to look away when watching her on BB but it's what makes her human...we've all done stupid things in life, especially at that age. (well I have anyway) lol

I think the interview would have been yesterday. I went to a Fringe show and saw Nathan and Jade in passing just before they were interviewed for the Ch 9 news in the evening, several house before the parade.
What do you mean by the old school JB mess?

We don't know what question the interviewer asked to get that response - or whether that sentence about his friends was taken from a larger reply which would give a context.

It would've had to be some time yesterday afternoon, the paper go to print pretty early, maybe she had to follow him again to explain this article. lol

Really? I didn't read anything into that at all, except that she's maintaining a respectful public attitude to Ed and saying they are still close - which is backed up by him giving her tips on where to go and his father's number. Perhaps he has also put her in touch with his friends for while she is there - she wouldn't have the contact details of his friends in Adelaide unless he had given them to her, or given her details to them.

Yeah, maybe she had met someone already and they had introduced themselves and said I'm friends with Ed? (just guessing)

I guess I just felt it was a bit awkward to read, especially after we hadn't heard anything directly from them these past months and then thinking that all contact had been broken with the unfollow.

My guess is that she started following Ed on twitter not instagram when he contacted her and gave her sightseeing tips and his dad's phone number.She probably appreciated that gesture so she re-followed him on twitter.We need to see how the Melb trip goes.
My first thought was maybe she suddenly re-followed him because of the article. I mean she did talk a lot about how they're close friends. Wouldn't look right if she said that but wasn't even following him anymore. I still think something went down the other night to cause her to unfollow him and post the JB tweet about waiting for things to get better the following morning. Whether she's hiding her real thoughts from that article (I doubt she'd trash Ed - especially in an Adelaide article), or whatever happened was sorted out yesterday arvo I don't know.
I guess what I don't like about what she said was that if it had have been Ed interviewed yesterday, I really don't think he would have gone on about how close they were. He'd be dropping more "I'm so single" bombs but Jade wouldn't even admit it. It's very Jade for her to speak highly of people, but going that far while Ed's doing the opposite I think sets her up for ridicule a bit.
P.s. What the hell is up the title of that article??? It has absolutely nothing to do with anything that's said!

I would think he had already given her the tips before the unfollowing, and has nothing to do with the refollowing - particularly as she started following again in the wee small hours of the morning. It is possible they spokeat some point last night and cleared the air (maybe Nathan played peace-maker), and after that she followed him. He was on twitter around that time as well.

Yes, it felt like she was overcompensating a bit, like she didn't want Ed to look like the bad guy.

I could actually imagine him doing both in the same paragraph. Just because he is letting people know he's single (in a bull-in-a-china-shop sort of way)and ready for gewls, gewls, gewls doesn't mean that he isn't still close, or good friends with Jade. Let's face it - he couldn't see the contradiction in hooking up with Jade and sharing her bed while nominating her as a game tactic. He's not emotionally intelligent.

How is she a clinger when it's him that offered his dad's number? It would be his friends that meet her, how would she know who they are? Such a dumb statement.
The one thing I did like was Jade saying he gave her some tips and gave her his dad's number because it shows that although Ed does ignore her on SM, they are communicating so it's not like Jade's trying to consistently interact with him on SM while he's trying to freeze her out (like I was fearing).
