I know there are a lot of people who can't stand Ben but I actually enjoy him, on a certain level, and I do appreciate how complimentary he is of Jade. After seeing pics of them at the ARIAS, I had this vision of the two of them standing quietly during the dinner hour, supporting each other, amazed to be where they are.benfrombrisbane

Ben has being irritating me a bit, but when I saw Jade post the photo last night and the photo today, I decided I was going to wait to see if Ben responds, and how he responds. His responses show he is a lovely person.
Something about Ben has always bugged me, and yet I often found him bearable around Jade (funny how she had that effect on a few HMs). It's good to see that she and him reconnected at the Arias. I bet she felt awful for nominating him when he left. She really didn't think he'd go. She was always so sweet with him. I remember when he came back after his fake eviction and everyone was jumping all over him. I remember Jade was the only one who could recognise how stressed and anxious he was and made everyone give him space. She's great with little things like that which most people miss.
And freaking hell, how annoying are these Jaded shippers on Twitter? I almost feel sorry for Ed.

I think part of it is that she's soothing. With the show ponies, like Tim and Boog, she settled them down a bit. With in their head people, like Drew and Ed, she offered them a different point of view. With people like Ben and the sisters, she was an anchor when the others were whipping emotions and energy to heightened states. She's so good at grounding people, they are able to fly higher.
Or that people would like to ask him about? How come so many of the questions being asked of him by that other thread are about Jade or Jade and Ed? It makes me very uncomfortable, to be honest, almost as uncomfortable as the obsessed Jaded fans tweeting and commenting to Ed and Jade about things that are really not their business.
