Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

Re the Jaded stuff, a nagging thought has been stuck in my mind since Leila cringed when commenting about Jade's feelings/pursuit of Ed when she interviewed Tim yesterday. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but if a lot of media people see it the same way, then I really hope this relationship hasn't "blacklisted" Jade from any career opportunities. We already knew that the production team disliked her immensely, and they mocked her on a consistent basis due to her relationship with Ed, and when it was brought up again by someone at Channel 9 there was more cringing...I don't know what I'm really saying or how to say it but hopefully one of you can see what I'm getting at.

If this is the case then I'm not even sure how Jade could handle it to be honest. On one hand I think doing what she's doing and not commenting on their status is smart, but then again the speculation keeps the questions coming up and the idea of Jaded, and the negative thoughts it brought up to producers in their minds. If they come out and declare their relationship then the Jaded connotation will probably remain with her even stronger and hurt her chances in the industry. If I were Jade, if there ever comes a moment where she senses that nothing is going to come of her and Ed, then I think it would be in her best interests to come out and say so, but then turn it into a positive and leave it as that. Still not really sure where I'm going with this, but the thought has been bouncing around my mind since yesterday.

I do understand what you are getting at, and it is one of the reasons I have such a problem with the way that she asked that question. I know that some people saw no problem with what she said, but to me it was indicative of something more - particularly as she is supposedly a fan of the show, meaning that I don't see that it can just be dismissed as asking dumb questions as she wasn't aware of what fans of the show are aware of.

On the other hand, it was just a lightweight interviiew, so may not carry that much weight in terms of representing a widely held view of Jade's potential within the industry.

I think for the moment, she is handling it well, insofar as presenting herself and the fact that she is an individual entity rather than identifying as part of a couple as I think that would definitely pigeonhole her as a limited option. Part of me still tends to think that the treatment Jade received in the house from production is because they were unhappy that she blew their plans for her and Drew - even though that then led to much more controversy and publicity regarding both Drully and Jade/Ed.

Yeah. When I said yesterday that I didn't really have a problem with what Leila said, I meant it as I didn't have a problem with what she said personally, but yeah, if her feelings are a representation of the whole Channel 9 production team (and let's be honest - she probably didn't write those questions), then yeah, there could be a massive problem.

If Jade and Ed are together, and I've made it known I think they are, then the best option for Jade is probably doing what she's doing. The speciation will keep reminding everyone of the Jaded connotation, but at least she's attempting to brand herself as an individual. The last thing either Ed or Jade want to do is copy what Drew and Tully are at the moment. Big mistake IMO.

I also think the production team blamed Jade for the shit they copped with Drully, because tbh they didn't treat Drew much better than they did Jade. Weirdly though they made Tully out like a hero and she was the one that cheated on her partner... Ironic...

Yep, you're probably right about Jade being blamed for Drully - and of the 4 of them, Tully does seem to be the one that is coming out smelling like roses as far as 9 is concerened. And I do agree that, for both Jade and Ed, keeping the relationship side of things separate from themselves as marketable individuals is the best way to deal with things.
 
I just don't want Jade to continue coping with negative comments from HMs & media. If they are not in a relationship, then now it's time for Jade to stop posting their photos together or Ed's photos to create more negative speculations. When the public sees more & more of Jade as a single individual, they may stop questioning about JadEd.

If Ed doesn't want to commit a relationship, I hope Jade would be the person to declare single firstly. This may significantly boost her image. Ed has been given many chances in & outside the house so he needs a deadline to catch up with or he loses chance to be with Jade. If he does deeply care for Jade he would understand how much she has to cope with the public when their relationship status is unclear with the old story "to see how it goes"

I know it's just easier for us to say when we are not in that relationship. But I still have my opinion because I do care a lot for Jade.

In my opinion regarding JadEd relationship after the Noosa holiday they both went serparate ways, either Jade and Ed have not said when they will catch up next.

To me, I think Jade and Ed are trying to keep their relationship private - to stay away from the public eye . They don't want to be another Drully super couple and they have learn the lesson again.

Jade look stunning at the Airas Awards last night. Maybe Jade get another invite for next event to go TV Week Logies Awards which held next year - who knows?
