Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I'm so glad her dad's coming over Nov 3rd and he'll make sure she's loved and looked after.

I think she's prepared for detractors and she'll have her family and friends as well as some former HMs to give her support. What I was most worried about was her being evicted and then having her entire eviction package be about her chasing a resistant Ed, which would have humiliated her, especially since I'm sure they would have put in the early comments he made about not being interested in her. As it is now, most of the package will still be about him, but at least I think it will be somewhat of a reciprocal relationship, though obviously more intense on her side.

I agree. They did a good job protecting Tully when she was evicted, they better do the same for Jade. <3 They better not do the whole "he isnt into you" storyline on stage. :(
 
I hope they give her a good eviction, she deserves it. They grilled Mik and Maddy so there is reason to be worried.

So you wish someone had come along and humiliated you? It's funny how some people want the HMs to act the way THEY wouldn't act. The reality is, Jade's lack of confidence is a very human flaw, one you yourself admit to having. Jade desperately wants to love and be loved, the most common of human motivations. She isn't perfect, but she is very real.

I do recall Jade baking muffins and making pancakes in the LFs.Most of the kitchen scenes she's always washing the dishes or wiping down the table.What is Tahan going on about?I just don't understand why she feels the need to put Jade down at every opportunity.

And then says she gets into trouble for being too honest Iol . . bleurgh.
 
I would like for Jade to be saved, to give time for her father to be present when her time comes.
I feel that Drew would like to leave and is just biding his time. He wasn't too fussed in the DR about Tim and saying that he thinks Tim is broken. If he cared he would have been angry as he has about other issues at times.

Today in the LF Tahan asked Tim if Jade and Ed were a thing now, which is so confusing because haven't she and her little gang been bitching about them since Thursday? Now the latest update has her talking to them about their relationship. She's looking for more stuff to slam Jade about I'm sure.

It is a human flaw. And I hate the fact that she's being humiliated, but I'm rooting for her to redeem herself.

Oh I agree, I'm waiting for her to learn her lessons. I don't hate Jade at all, I loved her at the beginning and had a soft spot for ages, but it's slowly diminished because of Ed. I think the only way for her to redeem herself is when she gets out and sees everything for what it is, and from there I'm hoping she makes some better decisions. I relate to her, and that's why I'm hoping she can eventually snap out of it.

But why do people need to redeem themselves for being human? Sure, over time we hopefully grow and change and learn from our mistakes,but that's not going to happen in this isolated environment. Jade's behavior may have consequences in the future but as of right now, she is doing the best she can with the knowledge she has.

Because she's in love with a guy that won't compliment her or reciprocate her feelings. She deserves better for the person she is.

I also want to point out that it is very possible that Jade's behavior has actually not been as bad as it's been portrayed and that their relationship has a very obvious pattern of Jade making hersef open, looking foolish (maybe with editing emphasizing this) and then Ed reciprocating. It happened with the kissing, then the sharing a bed, then the things under the pillow, public displays of affection, and open acknowledgement that they are in a relationship. Now she's done it again with the love word, but he's obviously not running from it and her. In fact, he seems to be encouraging her to repeat it. I continue to think she is FAR to good for him and she should not put him on a pedestal where he does not belong but that goes back to her very human insecurities, not something that necessarily can be redeemed.

This may be the best she's ever been treated in a relationship but maybe in time she'll realise that she can do better, she is only just 23 after all. Ed did actually compliment her in the live feed recently in front of the housemates and when he was asking Australia to save her. Maybe Tim just has higher expectations for her hence his comment.
