Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

BB edits what BB wants audiences to see. You can't blame Jade for having BB show a lot of her. I don't see her trying to sell anything and the times she talks about herself it is usually in private, when she is talking 1 on 1 with somebody. Even at the dinner table you don't see her opening up so openly about things, for example Tahan the other night had an emotional opening up about the racism she has faced growing up. Yes, sad for her but Jade doesn't come across as a person who will self-pity herself in front of others for attention.
Ed's footy 'career' is hardly respectable, I'm sure if Jade wanted money then she could easily go for someone more prominent in the AFL scene. Lets not forget but she also used to be in a serious relationship with a ski instructor and ski instructors don't earn an 'amazing' amount of money.
I don't appreciate you saying that Jade is trying to sell something she's not because. Just because she's a nice girl with insecurities does not mean she is somebody fake!!!

They are all in there selling themselves, are you forgetting they need people to vote?

And who said she was fake?
You are selling the girl you like short........... if you think there isn't more going on behind those baby blues.
For christsakes she's been on RTV before she cannot be clueless about he whole deal.
She is very strategic, and quite clever in her friendships.

I'm giving her credit for having a brain. Do you really think she is a simple sweet thang?
 
[MENTION=28562]Connoisseur[/MENTION] well lets look at the definition of vapid and arrogance.Vapid means offering nothing or dull,I don't know whether you are really watching bb,but from the very beginning Jade provided alot of entertainment value with the fake marriage,breakup,angst ,drama etc.In fact without Jade bb would be boring.She does have a sweet and genuine personality that doesn't cry out loud for attention.Also she does have a wicked/cheeky sense of humour.Now arrogance means having an overbearing pride so evidenced by acting superior over others deemed as inferior.Well I think her inferiority complex shows she is the opposite of arrogance.
 
She's kind hearted and the fact that she doesn't use people does not make her simple. Seriously what's with all the Tully fans coming in here and calling her names with no substance to back it up with? There's an anti-Jade thread for that, I'm sure you will find people who share your views there but it's pointless in here when we have heard enough about Jade to rebut all your arguments.

They know that Tully has very few redeeming qualities so the only way to build her up so to speak is to put another housemate down constantly. I don't even know why you guys are bothering arguing to be honest. People's agendas on this forum are very obvious and they'll just see what they want to.

Jade is a nice enough girl. But her fans are falling for what Jade is selling way too much.

From my perspective (as a female):
Drew - I hate long hair on guys so he was an instant turn off, it's a complete deal breaker for me, and she said early on when they were "married" that she thought his hair was gross. Also the dude is 24 and still stuffing around at uni, which is something I also find unattractive - I want someone who has their shit together who is not going to bludge of me
Ed - classically handsome, fit and active, motivated enough to have had 2 high achieving careers by 26. Much more attractive

Personality wise, they are both pretty crap - Drew is a dibber dobber, easily manipulated, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has participated in the relationship with Tully because he thought his friends would think he was cool for converting a lesbian. Ed was boring a bat shit when Heidi and the meat heads around, he's now showing a personality, albeit bitchy, but slightly entertaining.

The reason we all know more about Jade and her life is because she isn't constantly worried about the cameras like the rest of them so she says things about her heartbreaks, her career insecurity, her personal insecurity. She is being honest and wearing her heart on her sleeve, which I know Tully lovers say Tully does, but Tully shows no self reflection.

Jade said that when she was living in Italy she was living in a penthouse and driving round in a porsche.The girl has had her own money,whether or not she still has i don't know.

Not everyone finishes uni at 21 and has it all figured out. I don't think 24 is old at all. People change their mind, etc. Your career choice is a big decision. There's plenty of people still studying who are over 25.

I didn't finish uni at 21 - it is my preference that guys have their shit together because from my dating experience and my friends dating experience, if they don't have their shit together by that age, they will never get it together. As I said, it's my perspective. And I know plenty of people who go back to uni later in their life (ie. over 25) but that is because they had a career first (eg. nursing assistant to RN). As I said in my post - we know what Jade has been doing all her life, but do we have any clue what Drew has been doing? Was he volunteering in Somalia before he decided to become an Engineer? Who knows because he hasn't revealed anything about himself

I'm okay with long hair on a guy but it needs to be washed every day. NOT a fan of long greasy hair. Or short greasy hair.
Clean hair is a must.

It's a deal breaker for me too. I don't know why exactly but whenever I see it I get a shiver of ugh ...especially when you see guys with a pony tail BLEUGH. But as you say each to their own. One woman's ugh is another woman's yum :D

No, i definitely think there is more to this girl than people perceive but I seriously don't think she is trying to be somebody she's not. Italy's next top model and BB are completely different reality tv shows BTW, BB you vote while INTM you don't and that just completely contradicts your first point.
The only time I've seen her be strategic is in nominations but that's when everybody is. Strategic with friendships? I don't think so, if she wanted to be strategic she could've easily just joined the 'cool' kids club.

Can't disagree with that lol But maybe Drew doesn't wash it on purpose. I remember last year Michael had just washed his hair and said the soft shiny locks made him look too much like Kate Winslet or something. So maybe some guys just don't like that super clean look. I dunno. It can't be due to laziness alone.. if I find out it is Drew will lose all credibility.

Lol, I know exactly what you mean. I remember growing up that everyone was always like "Brad Pitt is so hot" but at the time he had long hair and he made me want to vomit, once he cut his hair, I remember thinking "now I see what everyone was talking about"
 
I just wish Jade could appreciate the beautiful person she is!!! she's got too many positives to spend her life worrying about trivial negatives

But on ANOTHER matter, she KNOWS that Ed doesn't want a relationship, so it's doing my head in that she keeps going for it
