Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

My view is BB has Jade's back. They love her. I'm sure cam ops are swooning. I'm ex crew and it's a tight family thing on set. They would all be affected.

Hence why after Tully's shithouse catwalk sesh the producers expedite the Pageant which will wholly vindicate Jade when they do a juxtapose edit. You can tell by the editorialising of Tully in the updates: Tully moans to Drew. Tully insinuates. etc.

They are totally fed up.

How much do you think crew can have an influence on the show?

It's always interested me since the 1st series that Ben won.
It was stated he was the camera crews favourite, and they also made statements that Ben just cracked them up, with a very dry, witty sense of humour - I think they seemed quite frustrated that that didn't seem to translate onscreen.

Can they vote like crazy for Tim because he's the one that keeps them awake?

Yeah I didn't read that much, but that one bit sure stood out - surely they should now be grateful to Jade, she is the only story he has.

Is there anything that stands out to you about the way this season has been edited?

Ummmm the editing is in shifts so there is a really good editor with a dramatic sense and one or more that have no idea about how to build tension/story arcs.

Wasn't it Jade that said she was intimidated by Ed because he was too perfect and the girls reassuring her? I really can't recall Jade being flippant about anything, in fact her insecurities are probably her biggest issue when it comes to Ed.

That was me. My take on jade's behaviour is that she hopes to gradually wear Ed down as she suspects that ed is only holding out because of how it might be perceived by the voters. I'm certain that she genuinely believes ed finds her attractive and it's only a matter of time until he succumbs to her feminine wiles. That attitude is very common in women who are very confident about their looks. I doubt heidi or Kay would pester ed for this long for example.

That was me. My take on jade's behaviour is that she hopes to gradually wear Ed down as she suspects that ed is only holding out because of how it might be perceived by the voters. I'm certain that she genuinely believes ed finds her attractive and it's only a matter of time until he succumbs to her feminine wiles. That attitude is very common in women who are very confident about their looks. I doubt heidi or Kay would pester ed for this long for example.

So true. I wish she wouldn't bring herself down so much though. She's accomplished so much, been through so much and has so many good qualities about her that other housemates don't have a percentage of. And girl, what do you mean you don't have talent? You were on Italy's Next Top Model! Honestly, regardless of how a person looks, it's not that easy to photograph well and have expressive photographs and make it on so many shows. She has endurance and persistence. I don't get why the housemates gossip about her and feed her insecurities when she doesn't deserve it. On that note, not enough of Jade in the live feeds today haha.

I think she is a sweet person who is learning about herself. She may not be book smart but she is far from stupid and she will gradually learn more about what she has to offer. Fair enough she use what assets she has (I.e. made money modelling, I would if I could) and eventually she will build more and more confidence about what she has to offer as a person as well.

One thing I like about Jade is that she is reflective about herself and what is happening. She likes Ed but she did realise herself that he only comes to her when drunk and some of the times she has talked openly about why her life has gone on the path it has and how she sees herself is very honest and humble to me. She seems open to understanding her faults and where she can improve and what she can do in her future. I like that fact that she has an open attitude towards improving herself. No one is perfect but if you can have humility and openness to learn then surely the future will be good

And I loved how after the fake party everyone was talking big about a mutiny and not letting Tim lead the game and blah blah and everyone was acting like they were up on the play and had it all under control etc ....and Jade made some comment like 'I don't know what's going on'. All I thought was good on her. Don't get caught up in talking big etc and just say it how you feel. It felt very honest.

The poor girl was doing 14.5 hour days. School @ 9. Finishing her restaurant job at 11:30pm every night, including weekends so she could pay house bills. She must have been dead on her feet. No wonder she couldn't learn. She's obviously has a high IQ.

That segment was so moving I must say.

Yep, similar to that situation, I remember like Heidi, Tully, Ed & Drew discussing in different situations that Jade is supposedly "not smart enough" to see that she is being played by Tim. That's when I first began becoming increasingly disappointed with Drew (I expected comments like that from the others, didn't expect any better from them cause they've always gossiped about her). Was disappointed with Drew because he should've known and told the others that she's not stupid - she just has a big heart and sees the best in people, including Tim. That's why she couldn't see what Tully was doing behind her back (and still don't think Jade understands).

It was moving because she wasn't seeking sympathy. She was just plainly telling Ed why financial security is so important to her. The part about having to go to her grandparent's place for dinner when they ran out of food. Heartbreaking. Imagine the worry. We forget just how many people who have live/d in poverty in the lucky country. How many kids that have to work long hours to support the household.

I have a very strong suspicion they will show that segment on Monday night... must have been tears at BB.

She is very critical of herself, saying that she is her worst enemy.

The more I learn about Jade the more I see our similarities. She mentioned that she feels 'stupid' a lot of the time and so avoids situations where she may look more stupid. That's kind of like me. I'm really awkward and, for example, can't dance to save my life. So where some bad dancers might just go for it and get a few laughs, I just tend not to dance because I fear I'll be laughed at or something.

Also in a video a while back, she was talking to Mr Clooney and singing to him. I could see myself doing that lol.

It just goes to show that the behind every pretty face is a story and in this case a very sad one. It was so inspiring to here her say something like that and I love the fact that she doesn't go and brag about it to everyone but keeps it to herself or talks to people 1 on 1 about these issues. She doesn't play the sympathy card and I have so much respect for her for doing so. I also 100% agree that they should show this on Monday, it would hopefully make people think twice about Jade and not judge her for things she's done but who she is as a person.

Much stronger than me for working two jobs during high school. Good on her . Year 11 and 12 take time and dedication.
