Bills to be paid, most likely. Commercials keep actors off the bread line.

Its so tough to shill products these days, people hate being sold things. Especially if it feels contrived and boring. She managed to remember it well and she looked beautiful (goes without saying).

Haha nah, I know why Jade would want to do it. I'm just a bit confused how she ended up doing it...like what's the connection. I know the company is Souths major sponsor so she might have met their representitives at a Souths/NRL function.

She was at the De'Longhi launch back at the beginning of March with other celebs - possibly from that

You saw the ad, she is clearly a heating expert. I imagine they went through a list of Australian heating experts and decided that Jade was the best choice.
 
Jade actually did a decent job there. It can really go either way with these infomercials, it's hard to follow an advertorial script like that and sound natural and still professional whilst incorporating some of your personality, but she seemed to find a balance and didn't sound all deadpan.

Definitely, she did well with what she had. I question the idea behind the ad more than anything. Get a beautiful young actress and play it as if she is a heating expert? Seems like a strange tactic.

Wait, are you saying that Vince Offer does not really know all about the Shamwow? My whole life is a lie.

All ads like that seem strange to me. I can never buy into the presented "experts". Like the Oral B ads? Can't buy into them since I saw the Chaser do an ad road test on Oral B. Like I said earlier, its tough to sell stuff these days. Or maybe its just me.

Lol but they're dentists, that's why they can't show their face. It's real I'm sure! To be honest, ads are something I fast forward through and I'm not at home to watch the infomercials from Moira or whoever does them now. Couldn't care less about the heaters either lol.
It's good though that she had a large speaking segment though, hope it leads to other things for her - can't wait to see what's next!

Yeah, that's what I mean. Creating an actual ad that will sell something is so tough. I think the last ad that made me buy something was.....I can't think of an actual product, just films and games. I thought the Old Spice commercials were pretty good, but I didn't want Old Spice. I have no interest in infomercial stuff but that seemed like a terrible ad. Probably on par with other infomercials but still.

Hopefully its a step in the right direction. Unless you are Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson you don't start your acting career in a starring role that does big business.
 
She did very well, but would like to see her in an Ad that brings out her sense of humour. One she can have fun with

She's the one who used to post her crap' articles' on HMs FB pages until fans kept telling her to stop. She's twitter friends with Greg and his ladies.

She also kind of overlooks the fact the Jade has always been a bunnies fan, and used to go to games with her uncle - but that wouldn't look good as gossip...

It's true, that Jas woman promotes her gossip as 'the latest' but she just reposts stuff from Reality Raver or Daily Mail. She tweets that she welcomes any suggestions or criticisms but has a tanty and blocks you if you point out something that she did wrong. I've noticed she's tried writing some of her articles herself but they are soooo bad - awful spelling and sentence structure and weird use of capitals. I think she is just a bored housewife looking for something to do, which is fine I guess but she's trying to promote herself as some Big Gossip Queen which is embarrassing. And she posts her crap all over the HM facebook pages, trying to get likes. She doesn't seem like a very nice person at all - she's only nice if you tell her how great her articles are but they're not, they are pretty crappy. Greg, the one obsessed with Jade, and that Patricia woman, and Toni always fawn over her stuff but it's crap - so badly written. Reality Raver is cool though. It's funny how the girls Jas/Patricia/Toni get all excited over weird Greg's tweets - apart from their partners, it's probably the only attention from males they get. I like aquanove though, I think she's nice, if not a bit over the top. She's always polite I've noticed unless you piss her off and then she lets you have it. lol.

Welcome to the forum :)

I encourage you to be careful though, I know most of the people you just mentioned read this forum (Jas is a member) and sometimes it blows up if we write something that's not positive about something they've written. A few of us have had them take screenshots of our posts and put them all over twitter and tag the HMs (particularly Ed) in them. So just beware that might happen if you mention people directly on here...

Welcome, I agree with most of what you have written but like Gemini said, be careful. Reality Raver and Daily Mail get a lot of stuff wrong and they are also badly written some actually no most of the time. Jas is ok, think she wants to make something of herself, but it's a bit hard when all your info has already been seen days before you actually post it and I've found a lot of what she writes is not very well thought out beforehand.
