It's face to face nomming tomorrow night, it's the deal breaker for all hm's I think. This is going to end very badly and I have a feeling we will see many friendships break. Someone mentioned this on some thread I read. It won't matter that the divide can repair itself. I am anxious about tomorrow nights show.
Btw, I don't trust that the business support has stopped, could be a ploy to get jade fans not to vote perhaps? I just don't trust it

it did feel like they were blaming ed more, though there was some derision of jade for being sucked in, which, of course, was the aspect that bb emphasized with their editing.
i do find that jade has somewhat been the victim of an overall sexist attitude by bb and the general public when it comes to jade and her relationships in the house. She has been blamed for both rejecting drew and then "leading him on" and for not accepting ed's rejection and "stalking" him. When tim started pursuing her and she had no interest and was even a little put off by his suddenly vocal interest, she was labeled obsessed with ed. She begged tim not to invite her to the ps and she was labelled ungrateful for not appreciating his choice to save her. It felt like bb and the viewing audience thought she should accept his advances in return for his "protection".
Then bb put madelyn in the house, like she was some sort of "gift" for ed (ick!) and repeatedly tried to paint jade as an irrational bunny boiler. While we know jade developed strong relationships with 3 females (now 4 with maddie, though i don't think it's as deep) that aspect of her has almost never been shown. It's all about her relationships with the boys and her "mean girl" behavior.

Jade being put off by Tim has nothing to do with her obsession with Ed being noted. Tim moved on right after the night in the Presidential Suite which is what Jade should have done after the night Ed told her he didn't want any relationship with her.
And they never covered that aspect on the show, and it certainly was ignored on this forum. There was a lot of outrage that she had "ruined" Tim's time in the PS, and very little discussion of how awkward he was making her feel. The fact that he had won the stupid showdown and "saved" her lent the whole thing an air of "to the victor go the spoils", and Jade was the spoils. Then, when she rejected him and talked about her ex and then Ed, he sat in the DR and acted all offended, like she should have been catering to his wants and needs. It all made me uneasy, the way it was presented all from Tim's point of view. That's what I found sexist. The issue with the Tim thing, and Jade's said it herself, was that it confused and worried her. All troughout the series he'd just been a mate and then all of a sudden out of nowhere he starts going after her like crazy. Ed's told Tim that Jade thought he (Tim) was trying to do it to get rid of her or Ed. Not sure what his real intentions were, but I can see why the whole thing upset and confused Jade.
Insomniac : you are doing great in the live feed .. I cant believe how people there can jump in any tiny thing Jade is doing and twist it as a bad thing ..while some HM can do bad things all the time and they still defend them .. and I noticed that some would crtisis Jade more than they can appreciate their favourites .
I agree that Jade is the victim of a sexism but I also feel she's the victim of Blondism. I think every year the blonde is the fall girl on this show. I didn't notice it so much on Ten but I do on Nine. Sonia has had a number of digs at Ed and has tried to balance the equation somewhat but I think the producers have it in for Jade.
Interesting point - I've noticed this in other shows too, not just BB
I think that Jade did the right thing, it wasn't her battle to fight and with the amount of screaming and yelling already going on, it just isn't her character to interject in during a confrontation.
And to all the peole saying that fight was Jade's 'fault'.. please *rollsyeyes. Obviously Mikkayla was already fired up (we missed the first half of the conversation outside) and Jade was offering some insight into why there may be some tension between Mikk and Boogs. Mikk and Jade are friends and she is ALLOWED to tell her that she heard Tim telling Boog, just like Tim is allowed to tell Boog what Mikkayla said about her (I don't have a problem with that). The problem i have is all in the way it was delivered. While i do think Jade had the right intentions (We know now that it just made Mikkayla crazier), Tim was only doing it to gossip and drive a wedge between Mikk and Boogs. So over people constantly trying to paint Jade in a bad light when her biggest crime so far is liking the wrong guy.
Just reality shows or others formats too?
I totally agree with your other comment that Jade is expected to be perfect and others get away with things. It really is like the blonde is the easy target. There's this automatic assumption that a blonde is ditzy and people feel like they're entitled to get stuck into a blonde. I don't see it so much in real life but I feel like the producers encourage it with their editing, etc. It's also a female thing. Drew seems to have been excused of his part in breaking up Tully and her girlfriend's relationship, while Tully seemed to get all the blame and got the boot ages ago. Sadly it's women that allow this type of sexism to continue.
