Yes, stroke your kitty and contemplate what the likely outcome of your ideology vs the reality of the ex-soldiers if not ex-cons attempting to gain entry to this country. While you are busy thinking "oh dear', also contemplate the likelihood of who had the most access to the food, water, any kind of comforts and safety devices on the trip over ... and who probably made other people's wives and children lives a misery and who should no doubt soon be involved in acts of terror, intimidation, and worse while waiting their turn to lie their way to our shores and tax payer support for the rest of their lives ?
Will you also be going "oh dear" or simply rejoicing when over 600 of such upstanding looking fellows break out of the detention centre that is 30km down the road from me and who proceed to take over the handful of nearby small country towns, collecting as many firearms from farmers along the way and doing to any female folk they find what their kind have already been doing in the countries they allegedly are fleeing-for-their lives from ?
Heck, they are already advertising that we should "fear for our wives" ... but I guess you're not going to start worrying about that until they are housed in your own building or at one of the university where the daughters of folk you know study, yes ?
Be honest here eliza. What is your gut feeling when you look at those photos ? Would you really feel safe and your loved ones in no kind of danger if all of that lot were housed in the same apartment block as you ?
Tell us truthfully eliza, would you want those guys in those pictures living in your apartment block ? Would you feel safe coming home alone late at night ? Would you put your eye to the peephole of your door before dashing out down the hall to the elevator to the car park, all the while praying that none of them got into the lift with just you on another floor ?
After all, it's not like any of them ever hurt another living soul, yes ? None of them would have thrown somebody else overboard or taken somebody else's life jacket ? None of them would ever have taken a woman (let alone somebody else's wife or daughter) against their will, and everyone else on the people smuggler's boat felt totally safe and protected by the fact those blokes were there, hmmm ?
What does your gut say, eliza ? Do they look more like ex-soldier or like ex-convicts ... or both ?
Do you honestly think they are coming here to help make Oz a better place and do the right thing by others ?
Now imagine around 600 of them (all male) housed down the road from you and who are regularly given our money and ferried in groups into the towns to spend it and argue with shop owners about prices and how cheaply they could get the same "back home" while an extraordinary number of small aircraft and helicopters continually fly between the capital and the detention centre, no doubt ferrying government workers, lawyers, and queue jumpers (and worse) between the two locations as the powder keg gets closer to ignition.
Just like there have been break-outs offshore, there will be break-outs onshore (including from just down the road from me) and no doubt horrible crimes will be committed by those who should never be granted settlement in Oz.
AFAIC the ideology you vote for and support has betrayed this nation and the future will neither thank nor think favorably of those who brought this upon us all.
