In The News

Good to see that W.A. is doing its bit to push back one of the greatest evils in the world today, that being left-urdianism/socialism/totalitarianism/luciferism.

Poor LSCP discovered that her update of electoral role details didn't go through in time so she still had to vote as if in Freo but at least her vote helped do an enemy of humanity, Oz, and God alike, that being a greenazi out of her seat.

Sure, the seat has now gone to a commie socialist collectivist laborite but hey, baby steps ...

Over all, it would seem that the baseball bats are well and truly out to try and take back this nation from the evil that is greenazism and "whatever it takes" "control of all means of production and supply" mafia like ALP thuggery.

Does anyone really expect Gillard to stick around to the next Federal election.

Actually, does anyone really believe that the next Federal election won't be until September 2013 ?

Watch out you commie collectivists, us "silent majority" conservative libertarians have had enough of your nonsense and luciferic ideology and are here to take back this nation for good and God and if you don't like it, well I for one don't mind if you choose to just FOAD. :D

Run-down of key seats:

Six WA seats still hang in the balance
Updated 1 hour 57 minutes ago

Counting in the State election will resume tomorrow, with six seats yet to be decided.

The Liberal Party was last night delivered a landslide victory, winning enough seats to govern in its own right.

However, the Premier Colin Barnett insists he will continue to govern with the National Party.

Hanging in the balance are the seats of Kimberley, Collie-Preston, Eyre, Warren-Blackwood, Belmont and Midland.

Warren-Blackwood
The future of the National's candidate and Agriculture Minister Terry Redman is unclear, with 76 per cent of votes counted in Warren-Blackwood.

Replacing the abolished electorate Blackwood-Stirling, the new electorate covers the south-west of the coast, including Margaret River.

Both Labor and the Greens have preferenced the Liberal Party, and the Liberal candidate Ray Colyer is predicted to win the seat with a swing of more than 12.6 per cent.

Eyre
The seat of Eyre, one of the State's largest electorates, covers the larger centres of Boulder, Esperance, Kambalda and Norseman.

Liberal Graham Jacobs is tipped to hang on to the seat, but faces a strong challenge from the Nationals' Colin De Grussa.

Kimberley
The seat of Kimberley has been held by retiring MP, ALP's Carol Martin since 2001, the first Indigenous woman elected to an Australian Parliament. The vacancy by Martin, and the controversial James Price Point gas hub proposal has turned this into a three way race, between the ALP's Josie Farrer, the Green's Chris Maher and Liberal candidate Jenny Bloom.

Collie-Preston
The ABC is predicting that sitting Labor MLA Mick Murray will lose the seat to Liberal candidate Jaimee Motion, Troy Buswell's former media advisor. Mr Murray first won the seat of Collie-Preston in 2001 by a margin of just 34 votes. He held it in 2005 and 2008.
Despite a redistribution in his favour since the last election, it is not considered a safe Labor seat.

Belmont
Retiring Labor MP, former Labor leader Eric Ripper, has represented Belmont since 1989. Labor is tipped to retain the seat, with candidate Cassie Rowe, although it is a tight race with Liberal Party candidate Glenys Godfrey, who is a former Mayor of Belmont.

Midland
Former Labor Government minister Michelle Roberts holds the seat for the ALP, but Liberal candidate Daniel Parasiliti has a 7.9% swing towards the Liberals and the seat is too close to call.

Key seat changes

Kalgoorlie

The Nationals' Wendy Duncan has won the seat of Kalgoorlie, previously held by retiring Labor turned Independent MP John Bowler.

Pilbara
WA Nationals leader Brendon Grylls has comfortably won the seat of Pilbara and says he's looking forward to giving the region a strong voice in State Cabinet.

Grylls shifted from his safe seat in the southern agricultural district of Central Wheatbelt to contest the seat.

"And I hope that they enjoy at last being part of the political importance of the state as well as the economic importance of the state," Mr Grylls said.

Fremantle
Independent Adele Carles, who won the 2009 by-election as a Green, has lost the seat to Labor candidate, union heavyweight Simone McGurk. Carles' affair and acrimonious break up with Treasurer Troy Buswell no doubt affected the outcome.

Alfred Cove
Independent MP Janet Woollard has lost the seat of Alfred Cove to the Liberal Party.

Dr Woollard has denied the controversy over her son Luke having to pay compensation to a woman seriously injured in a boating accident in 2007, damaged her campaign.

She says her time in politics is over.

"Sometimes people are ready for a change and if the community is ready for a change I'm very pleased Colin Barnett has done really well and I wish Dean Nalder all the best in Alfred Cove," she said.

Morley
Liberal Ian Britza retained the seat of Morley, again defeating the Labor candidate, former journalist Reece Whitby.

Mr Britza says his electorate has rejected Labor's attempt to parachute a candidate into the seat.

"I think number one they were tired of Labor, there's no doubt about that, there's no doubt that the Federal issue has had an important factor on it, but I do know that they weren't impressed about having people come from outside," he said.

Perth
The seat of Perth has been won by Liberal Eleni Evangel with a 10.3 per cent swing to the Liberals.

It had been held by Labor MP John Hyde, former Mayor of Vincent, since 2001.

One of those bastard rapists from India, found dead, hanged in cell - assumed suicide, but - they are not exactly popular.

And have you seen kids doing dumb stuff on trains???

Like -

The reckless behaviour was reportedly filmed on Friday night by a fellow passenger in a carriage that was packed with teenagers making their way home from an under-18 music festival.

The footage shows the shirtless reveller climbing out of the train window, before he dangles precariously from the carriage, sometimes with one hand, as the train continues to move at high speed.

Watch the dangeous stunt above

Shocked passengers can be seen looking on but no one tries to stop the teen.

The teenager eventually gets back into the carriage safely.

The footage was later provided to A Current Affair.

It is not known if the teen has been charged over the dangerous stunt.

So - if you see kids/teens doing dumb dangerous stuff, what do you do???
Kid was trying to do similar on a train recently, I got up and told him to get back in the train, and stop doing stupid stuff we do not want to watch as you die.

Kid hurumphed a bit and sat down, and the 3 other passengers smiled and looked pleased.

It was instinct, just like pulling little kids away from running on roads.

My sis and I have confronted teens a few times, instinct just kicks in and we can't help it.
Anyway, just wanted to say - do it, teens generally back down and are all bluff. They get a shock when you tell them to stop it and wimp out.

Yeah I've asked teens to stop doing silly stuff, I've had the odd "get f*cked" but usually they just stop. I've used the we don't want to watch you die line also.

Yeah so far, teens are generally all bark - but I haven't approached any real thugs.

99% yes vote in the Falkland Islands to staying part of Britain (92% turnout):

http://us.cnn.com/2013/03/11/world/americas/falklands-referendum/index.html

Heh ... and with only THREE people saying "nup, we wanna be Argentinian". lol

As for the reaction from the mainland, well it reads like a Gilbert & Sullivan musical

From here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/mar/12/falkland-islands-referendum-votes-yes

Sing the following to the tune of "A Modern Major General". :D

We must denounce this trickery that pretends to represent the popular participation of an implanted population ... This publicity stunt has no validity for international law ... The United Kingdom lacks any right at all to pretend to alter the juridical status of these territories even with the disguise of a hypothetical referendum ... There will never be self-determination for an implanted population and there is no legal framework for this, the Malvinas are Argentine sovereign soil ... How long can the islanders live isolated from the continent? They are 8,000 miles from London and 500 kilometres from continental Argentina !

The Falkland Islands may be thousands of miles away but they are British through and through and that is how they want to stay. People should know we will always be there to defend them. "We believe in self-determination. The Falkland Islanders have spoken so clearly about their future and now other countries right across the world, I hope, will respect and revere this very, very clear result ... Our relationship with the UK is strong and mutually productive, and we would like to be left in peace to continue to develop that relationship for the benefit of future generations

... develop that relationship for the benefit of future generations.

Gambling with God: Staking a wager on the next pope
By Nick Thompson, CNN
updated 12:09 PM EST, Fri March 8, 2013

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Milan's Angelo Scola is odds-on favorite to be elected as next pope
  • Ghana's Turkson, Canada's Ouellet also in top five for UK bookmakers
  • Betting on next pope "biggest non-sporting event of year," says Irish bookmaker
  • Bono, Richard Dawkins, Silvio Berlusconi among underdogs offered by bookmakers
(CNN) -- The love of money may be the root of all evil according to the Bible, but that hasn't stopped bookmakers from offering odds on who will emerge from the white smoke as the next pope.

At odds as low as 2-1, Cardinal Angelo Scola, the archbishop of Milan, is the bookmakers' favorite to succeed Benedict XVI, who Thursday becomes the first pope to step down for almost 600 years.

Those betting an African will take the Catholic Church's top job for the first time will be happy to hear Ghana's Cardinal Peter Turkson is running a close second at 5-2, while Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State, is currently running third with odds of 3-1.

Claire Davies, a spokeswoman at Irish bookmaker Paddy Power, said more than £300,000 ($450,000) in bets on the next pope have been placed since Benedict's resignation -- and that's before the papal conclave to choose the next church head has even started.

"It's our biggest non-sporting event of the year," Davies told CNN, "and we expect the betting to really pick up as we head towards the conclave."

Canadian Cardinal Marc Ouellet and Brazilian Cardinal Odilo Scherer round out Paddy Power's top five -- and though betting on the next pope is illegal in the U.S., the Irish bookmaker is offering 20-1 odds on Cardinal Timothy Dolan, America's top Catholic.

But Vatican insiders aren't the only prospective pontiffs punters can wager on in the hopes that a puff of white smoke will finally put their bank accounts into the black.

Davies says nine more bets have been placed on Father Dougal Maguire -- the dimwitted fictional priest from Irish television sitcom "Father Ted" and a 10,000-1 underdog -- than for Claudio Hummes, a Brazilian cardinal who also has the added benefit of being a real person.

Paddy Power says it has also drawn 20 bets at 1,000-1 that U2 singer Bono will be the next pope, and another five on Richard Dawkins, the famously outspoken atheist and scientist, at an ominous 666-1. One British bookmaker is even offering 10,000-1 odds that disgraced American cyclist Lance Armstrong will be chosen to head up the church.

But the bookies' odds aren't necessarily the best indicator of who the next pope will be, and a phrase repeated by Cardinal Javier Barragan of Mexico is worth remembering: "He who enters the conclave as a possible pope comes out a cardinal."

According to Davies, Pope Benedict was 20-1 after his predecessor's death in 2005 before rising to 6-1 at the start of the conclave -- "up with the favorites, but not a nailed-on certainty."

While the next pope will almost certainly be chosen from among the cardinals set to attend the conclave at the Vatican within the next few weeks, technically any practicing Catholic can be elected to lead the church.

So if you're feeling lucky, there's already one former leader living in Italy who has spare time on his hands. Three-time ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi may be an underdog -- but at 2,500-1, at least there's a chance.

Big surprise, desperate closet totalitarians becoming more desperate and less closeted as their day of reckoning and removal from power and control of the public trough draws closer.

Cofdnroy_thumb.jpg

From here: http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/...comments/get_their_hands_off_our_throats/P40/

THIS government will go down in history as the first Australian government outside of wartime to attack freedom of speech by seeking to introduce a regime which effectively institutes government sanctioned journalism.

...

ALL politicians are self-interested. But few are as shameless as Communications Minister Stephen Conroy.

His proposed “media reforms” may be a thinly veiled response to a technologically driven changing media landscape, but we all know their real purpose: to punish and rein in the federal government’s critics in the media…

Conroy has been egged on by Labor backbenchers and the Greens for months about the evils of media companies such as News Limited, publisher of The Australian. Former Greens leader Bob Brown famously dubbed News as part of the “hate media” and called for licensing for newspaper proprietors. Current Greens leader Christine Milne called for a “fit and proper test” so the government could control who invested in the media.

...

and (with bolding by me)

Senator Conroy is hurriedly pushing these anti freedom of speech laws quickly through the parliament as a desperate measure in the dying days of the Labor Party. The other reasons given by him are completely false. It is true that Senator Conroy is following in Stalins shadow as their is corruption on many fronts within the Labor brand generally and the union movement. Results of the Peter Slipper, Craig Thomson and Michael Williamson court cases are yet to be heard plus the ongoing scandal of Eddie OBeid are all to be decided upon and reported in the media. The best way of minimising the damage from all these alleged fraud cases is to control the media. Also the alleged fraud by Bruce Wilson and Ms Gillards involvement in the AWU fraud is currently under investigation by the Victorian fraud squad will be announced this year and again the best way to keep all this under wraps is to control the media.

Mr Conroy needs to understand that regardless of his proposed laws to stifle the media these laws will have the opposite effect to his media suppression as Australian voters have already made up their minds about Labor and Senator Conroy with his new Stalin like laws will further entrench Labor as a party of manipulation, deceit, incompetent and corrupt..

... and yet, how many of you here voted for them and/or their even more totalitarian bed-buddies, the greenazis ?

... and how many of you intend to continue to unashamedly support their evil freedom hating ideology come the next Federal Election ?

... even though it would eventually basically mean the death of not only internut forums but also for freely speaking your mind in any public place where you might be over-heard by anyone who might choose to take offense ?

In short, why do you ALP and Greenazis hate individualism and freedom so much ? Why can't you just live and let live ? :D
