I think this is a little sad, Scots in the US aren't allowed to eat traditional haggis:

My dad was Scottish, born in Glasgow so Haggis was an occasional food in our house when I was a child. I am not a huge meat eater but I loved Haggis. However I haven't had it for about 40 years and am not sure I could stomach it now.
The US really have some strange ideas, from Pecan's link:
As it stands, however, lungs are "considered an inedible item" in the US, says a spokesman for the Food Safety and Inspection Service.
Considering some of the disgusting fat laden mega portions of dead animals they consume I find it very odd that they have chosen a lung as an inedible item.
