Julie and Freddie are great additions to the camp. :)

Way better than seeing a loved up couple lazing around in the waterfall. :D

I felt for Joel and Barry tonight with their tucker trial. They were pretty brave to do that.

P.s. Oh my god. I think I am getting a bigger crush on Joel every day. There is just something about him. He is so cute. :inlove:
 
Aw, I love Julie Goodwin. And she is delivering in spades. Freddie is somehow the perfect addition - it's like a really good stew or curry.

Would like to strangle that women who laughs at every single thing so loudly in the background, but other than that I am happy as a clam watching this show every night. I find it really uplifting.
 
This show has nailed the casting in a way that Big Brother hasn't for years. Proof (if it were ever needed) that if you put in interesting people with life experience covering a wide variety of ages and interests, rather than all 20-something promotional models, people will watch.
Obviously these are "celebrities", but the same concept could easily be applied to Big Brother to make a far more interesting show.

...^^^^hear! hear! to everything that you said above!^^^^... I couldn't agree more with you Meglos... (and others voicing this same opinion elsewhere)... Peter Abbott has gone back to the grass roots of successful reality TV as it used to be and is now reaping rewards with happy viewers galore...

...the original basic concept of the original Big Brother that Peter Abbott began should be a base template for many other new potential reality TV shows... if only... IF ONLY Channel 10 could get the rights to Big Brother again... anyhow... great post Meglos... cheers.

See, obviously we aren't aware of the full context of this yet but after watching it I sided with Joel based on that video alone, however I skimmed through some of the Facebook comments and the majority of people were very, very negative towards Joel based on that clip and were extremely anti-Merv. So I dunno.

Yeah I think Joel gas had enough of Merv. I assume Merv would be difficult to live with

...Inigo... once you fast forward through the opening credits/the commercials/the icky eating challenges (if you can't stomach looking at them) and skip the next days previews and closing credits the show will only be about 30-40 minutes long... you could probably watch a backlog of 5-10 shows in about 6 hours flat!... (it sounds like a plan lol!)... cheers.
 
...I see it in another way... (I may be in the minority with this thought)... after Merv said... "don't you fucking start"... it panned back to him and I think that I can see that he had a grin on his face... (he may have meant it as a joke)... then Joel said his bit... (perhaps either as a half-joke or half serious)... in response... if I'm right... looking at it in that sense of the moment it may have just been just some playful banter between them...

I'm not too sure about that myself... he seems like a big gruff hairy Yowie to me but I think that he would probably be quite soft inside... he strikes me as the type that would be loud and aggressive to start with but if someone went for him that he would more than likely back down before it got to someone getting hurt... but then again... that is just the impression that I get of him... cheers.

...I completely agree... he thinks that because of his size and the fact that he has quite a loud voice that he is always right and when somebody 'ups him' about something like Joel did he is genuinely taken aback by it... I quite like Merv... I have from the start and was hoping that he or Marcia Bradey was going to win it in the end... but he is ranking third... maybe fourth now because I want either Marcia Bradey or Julie Goodwin... (or even Chrissy after those two lol!)... to take it out... but you are right JordanS... he is rude too... cheers.
