If Estelle won it would ultimately damage her...

as opposed to a thread on here where Estelle lovers post their love for a woman they do not personally know?
no one on that thread who does not know Estelle would not have any strong feelings on her, but would prefer to see her win.

I actually think that Estelle isn't that great a person. I do think if the HM's hadn't started bitching about her, we would've seen a very different Estelle. One who thinks she's the superior dogs bits and femme fatale to every bloke that met her. After all, it didn't take her long to hook up with Ryan and if Sam and Josh had said yes, she'd have been in there. She makes out she was backing off because of other female HM, when the reality is, they weren't really interested in her. The fact that she stated when she first went in that all the females would nom her because she was beautiful, or whatever it was she said, show's she has a very high regards for her self and an ego to boot. It also shows that she must think females are so shallow that's all they could think of for a reason to nom her, which seeing as she is meant to be so right on, shows she's not.

The keep it real line always got me when HM were saying they didn't know who she was because of her changing personalities. Josh had a non bitchy convo with her re this. So how real can someone be if they can't actually decide who they are? She does seem very immature for a 23/24 year old. The whole gangstastella thing makes me cringe as that is the sort of thing you see teens doing but normally they don't go off and ride their horse whilst doing so.

I think she has also played the sympathy card well. By pointing put to BB how bad her fellow HM's are, she is effectively doing the holier than thou to gain support. The general all HM's are nasty and mean chat she has with BB, is in itself a form of bitching, especially when she keeps banging on about keeping it real and being her true self, which no one actually in the house seems to know who that is.

When I saw Estelles video at the beginning, I thought she'd be ok, but my opinion about her changed for the worse pretty soon and stayed there. I supported her, Sam and Angie when the other group seemed to go a little mad with the power they thought they had and wanted one of them to go as a kick up the backside to them, but individually I can't support her. I don't like HM's winning on the sympathy card, because often their minus points are ignored, whereas the other HM's do get judged on their minus and positives.

Saying that though, I haven't a fav and am not really too bothered who wins. To me all of them have a list of reasons why they shouldn't win and although they have positives, none have grabbed me enough to care who wins and who doesn't.

Doubtful.

Precisely

Good post, Tussie! Always a thought provoking poster. :D

Hearsay.

I will have to take your words for it.

I am over reading long winded summaries - on people none of you actually know - which has been concocted through the 25 minutes of highly edited footage we get to see each day.

True.

i enjoy a good troll as much as the next guy (and even sometimes play the role myself), but - and sorry to say this - tim, you started a trolling thread intentionally using inflamatory language and ideas.

Along with "bullying", the word "troll" has been used incorrectly so much by the media that no one knows what the real meaning of it is anymore.

I put forward an idea that is not widely popular then backed up my argument. A whole lot of you feel uncomfortable by the idea I put forward so instead of discussing it rationally you jump on the buzzword bandwagon and say I'm trolling.

Screaming "troll" is not a rational argument.

Unless of course your name is Charlotte Dawson and you have a nice private mental institution to hide in.

I always say, nothing takes the validity out of a good rational argument, like a stint in a nice private mental asylum.

Oh yeah and then you get Today Tonight to harass the people who were insulting you on twitter.

Because you know... eye for an eye.

If you watched the show, you'd see the whole persona personality thing was a joke and not a reality. The other night when Estelle explained it clearly showed how it was about how people try and fit her into a box and there's no single one she fits into. People have taken on board the language used by housemates instead of what they mean and are referring to.

Yes, this claim that Estelle has multiple personalities is one of the most bizarre accusations which is leveled at her. She mentions it from time to time for a bit of a laugh, but the other housemates and especially some of the people on this forum take it with the utmost seriousness.

If you look at all of the factors which have led to this accusation, it's clear that the only thing Estelle can be accused of is having a diverse and somewhat atypical array of interests: she listens to rap, she likes to skateboard, she likes to ride horses, she studies law, she's interested in American basketball and she holds some ideals which may be associated with the hippie subculture. Whilst joking around, Estelle takes the piss by creating admittedly bad raps and jumping over synthetic grass logs in the backyard like a horse. She doesn't invest a great deal of her sense of self in these playful 'identities'.

If you applied the same ridiculous criticism to me which people have applied to Estelle then I too could be accused to having multiple personalities. I listen to extreme metal but also enjoy folk music and new age relaxation music. I love bush walking and exploring natural places but I also spend shitloads of time indoors on the computer and playing video games. I can be very intellectual but I'm not averse to killing my brain cells by ingesting copious amounts of alcohol. Even my political beliefs can be confusing for some people to get their heads around; I was once accused of being a "racist" and a "bleeding heart pinko faggot" all in the one day. One of my friends even described me as a "hippie bogan nerd" (that's sooo not true through).

Holy fuck, I must have multiple personalities as well! Can I please get chucked in the same asylum as Estelle?

Ok I get that Estelle is 'popular' (I thought the sk8er fad had died, but maybe I'm losing touch). And I also understand there's a good chance she'll win because of this residual sympathy about the "bullying".

But ultimately if Estelle won it would be pretty mentally damaging. Obviously at first she'd be elated and feel highly validated (something she's always seeking out). However this would quickly lead to very unrealistic bars being set.

I wouldn't be surprised if within a few weeks she's caught in a nightclub fight drunkenly screaming "don't you know who I am, I won Big Brother!" while other patrons look on in bemusement. (This has happened before with other HMs).

I mean the girl is clearly not yet emotionally mature bordering on a little unstable. Her dramatic, almost bi-polar shifts between having "new best friends" then sobbing uncontrollably after nominations demonstrate this. Her need to 'latch on' to people is as clear as day.

If she won Big Brother it would be teaching her the only way to feel validated in life is to be an attention seeking whore, which she was part-way to becoming in the first place. Winning BB would be a terrible life lesson.

Complete bollocks

unfortunately she wont win - its already pre ordained for michael to win

Spot on mate!! You've summed up her state of mind and mental attitude very well in your post, IMO. Ive said all along that she is obviously socially inept, and very much a huge attention seeker!. Good post :D

I can't believe what has happened ion the last week, now she is going to win the whole f***ing thing!! And for what? Being an absolute and constant p.i.t.a.!!??

Bloody Admiral Annoying :(

I think she is going to do herself out of the win tbh. Cuddling and now kissin Michael...foolish.
