Hi all, just a quick pop in to wave and say hey. My beloved Bentley (pictured in my avatar) has succumbed to Parvo despite beig totally vaccinated. Not sure how or where he got it but he's currently in the vets doing his best to fight it off. I'm so upset cos he's my best friend. I really miss him. Hopefully he gets through this and returns home soon. Not sure why I'm even posting this, but Im so devastated I had to share. Please spare a thought for my boy. I love him more than anything.
Oh no that's terrible! Thinking of you both. I'm sure Bentley is a fighter! xo

Thinking of you Noxious, and Bentley too of course. I don't know much about parvo I have to say, but I really hope Bentley is ok. Its horrible when pets are sick

Sorry to hear about your dog, Noxious Hope he gets better soon!
Yesterday I went to Supanova in Brisbane and got to meet Dominic Monaghan (Merry from Lord of the Rings and Charlie from Lost) and got a photo with him. He's really funny and so nice! And then I got a photo signed by Mark Addy as well. I know he's from Game of Thrones but i've never seen that and only know him from A Knight's Tale, The Full Monty and The Flintstones among other things. So while choosing the photo that I wanted him to sign - they only had Game of Thrones ones or a pic of him as Fred Flintstone! So I chose the Fred Flintstone one and when I handed it to him to sign he had a big laugh about it. His minder said that was the first, everyone else had GOT pics. Bit shameful tho haha! He wrote "Yabba dabba doo!" on it! Then as we were leaving, I saw Lincoln Lewis just wandering around and he was nice enough to let me have a photo with him too!

I'm not religious, but will be keeping him and you in my thoughts. I know how devastating having a seriously ill cat or dog can be ♥

So is this the appropriate thread to mention that I saw a pierced cervix on reddit today?
I actually crossed my legs and did the bend over in my seat groan!
Link to the comments, the photo will require another click.
The comments were pretty funny.
I read the interview with this person. She also has internal g-spot piercings.

...haha!... that is so cool qtkt... our own Vicar of Dibley on our website!... (I so love that show... especially when Geraldine and Alice have their 'talks' at the end when she tries to tell a joke to her... hilarious!...
I love the show too. Repeats were on recently and I caught most of them.
I love it how on the very last episode Richard Armitage explains the joke to Alice and she finally gets it!
In a previous parish I used to have my very own 'Alice'. She wasn't quite as quirky as Alice but almost! Blessings to Erin!
Torifrog, I don't think I've ever met her - but I have heard the name.qtkt - I wonder if you might have known my aunt, who was the minister at Millmerran some years ago - Pat Hutchison?
Please say a prayer for my baby boy.
Oh Noxious, they are such a big part of our family. Saying a prayer for you and your baby boy and hoping he got through the night well and is recovering today.

Oh, she died a few years ago now... I just remember what a small circle of female deacons and priests were around in her early years

Oh my God how awful.
I can't even imagine what you are going through. I too have some serious dog love going on in my life. My friend William is easily my favourite part of my day and no one is ever as happy to see me as Billy is. You are in my thoughts and I will make sure when taking Billy for a walk today, he sniffs some serious arse in Bentleys honour.
Get well soon Bentley!

Poor Bentley! Hoping for a speedy recovery. I have two fur babies here at home and would be heartbroken if they were sick.
TraLa I seriously love the way your mind works! Stay gold, pony boy !

And I'm gonna post ths here coz I can... It's too good not to share.
With today being Rememberance Day, an announcement was put over the PA at the hospital I work in, that we will now observe a minutes silence, I stopped at the nurses station, silently, and was surprised to hear a vacuum cleaner still going. I was even more surprised to hear an elderly male patient call out "HEY ASSFACE, turn that off for Christs sake"
It made my day!
You may have lost your leg my friend, but your balls are 100% intact !

Ha! Love it!!!!!!
I have a nursing funny to share, which fits particularly due to today being Remembrance Day. It actually happened last week so I am just cutting and pasting my facebook status...
One of the best parts of nursing is having the opportunity to care for our aged. A client was sharing his war experience with me. He had served with the English army and was stationed in Germany for four years during WW2. He said "Germany was a beautiful country and German people were a lovely bunch, the only thing that spoiled it was the Nazi's trying to kill anybody who disagreed with them..."
Our oldies say the darnedest things!

Yay I am so excited, I get to look after my friends pug for a few days while she goes away. How awesome are pugs? Surely no one would disagree with that? Unfortunately the poor little thing is on antibiotics and a few other things for a rash, so my job has been upgraded to vet nurse with some very specific instructions for her meds as well as a special medicated bath. But she is so cute I honestly don't mind.
It's with a very heavy heart that I say that my baby boy Bentley Boston passed away tonight at 7pm. He was vaccinated against Parvo with a new vaccination called Nobivac. He had only been vaccinated 6 months ago yet still
Contracted the virus. There are no words to explain the devastation I feel and the utter heartbreak. For dog lovers who are getting their dogs shots, please choose the tried and true C5 shot not this pathetic new vax that clearly is substandard. So much so the company is paying for my vet bills, cremation and have offer money towards a new puppy. Well MSD, I don't want a new puppy, I loved and wanted the one I had.
I'm so completely numb and feel like I will never recover from this.
Thanks for all your nice words, it means a lot xxx
