I had a great day with bubba nephew. He's such a funny boy. Fuck having kids in your thirties though. But he's the absolute dead spit of his mum. There's 10 years between us and I look at him and he is just totally the same. His hair is fairer and his ears are wing nutty compared to hers but otherwise a total clone. She was a little darling, she was like my first born baby.

So my miss 6 will be miss7 on Friday & mr coops had an awesome idea to get her chickens for her b'day. We went to bunnings today & got a little house & rang up a poultry for sale from a newspaper advert. Collect 3 little bantam chooks from the farm. Mr 3 was beside himself with excitement about going to a farm. Too cute. Miss 6 loves them. We have a white one a black one & a black with white flecks. She has named them classy,shy & Loy ( that's the one mr 3 will be in charge of) there names changed about 30 mins later to Claire, shiny & loyd. Who knows what they will be called tomorrow!
[MENTION=30683]bonnie[/MENTION] - do you have any wise chicken rearing tips? They like all veggie/fruit scraps? We are first timers, so any advice is much appreciated

Congrats on your new addditions to your family, 3 little bantam chooks, so cute!!!
The only thing, make sure they are protected from foxes, we had a bad experience about 3 weeks ago and lost all our chooks.
We will try again after hubby makes a few improvements to their housing.
It will be exciting when they lay their eggs and your children collect them.... aww, how cool!!!!

Thanks for the chicken advice everyone. I still can't believe mr coops thought of such a good gift all by himself!
we don't have to worry about foxes cos we live in town, but our 2yr old blue heeled on the other hand, well, he is very interested in them, probably just cos they are new.we are keeping in chained up for a bit when we aren't home to make sure he will behave with them.

You know when you actually see someone for the actual bitch they are? I had that today. Well I already knew she is a bitch which is why I went zero contact but today just confirmed I did the right thing. My baby sister, the one who has been getting the shit belted out of her by violent ex for the past 2 years, rang mum late last night to ask something silly and mum and stepfather didn't answer the phone. Nice parental concern there. I knew she was selfish but I was surprised at my stepfather for not insisting they answer the phone. And worst of all when my nan was alive there is NO WAY she would have not answered the phone if my mum rang her in the middle of the night. My nan would be so disappointed in my mum.

Slowly getting used to having my real life back. It has been quite an adjustment. On the upside, I have got back into reading and talking to my partner and I haven't been late for anything since the show ended! I was starting to run out of excuses as to why, I mean you can't tell people the sole reason you are late is because you are playing on forums, can you?!
I have my last ever nursing class tomorrow, then I am off on three weeks holiday!
It will be the first time in two years I have absolutely nothing to do. Not entirely sure how I will cope to be honest!
