I am by no means a pro here but any cast iron pan Sh ould be fine in the oven, just avoid the plastic handles. I feel like Jamie Oliver has a dual purpose one, if not him then someone else, as I remember thinking so many frypans already are technically dual purpose as it is.
Putting a frypan in the oven, what a fucking disaster! I grabbed the scalding handle when it was on the bench, not once, but twice! My brain is just so used to picking it up with the handle, it automatic pilots and I end up with my hand in the cold water jug!
It really does finish chicken breast nicely though.
