Thanks Jessy, I will. What cruise line have you been on?

I believe I was on the P&O Pacific Pearl. Which one are you going on?

I was looking at a cruise for next month actually, but lucky I didn't book as it wasn't convenient in the end. Maybe in a few years, but maybe you'll make me too jealous and I'll go sooner.

I'm going on the Eden. Been reading reviews.... Not good, but I'm going to make the most of it.

I haven't even heard of that one. Meh, at the end of the day, you'll make your own fun with your friend and who doesn't love lying by the pool and going to buffets and bars? No sane person anyway. After how hard you've been working these past few months you'll enjoy being able to relax and just have fun.

Don't believe all you read. Seriously some people are just whingers.
We'll be going on the Pacific Dawn in December and I'd read some reviews too but my brother-in-law who's been on a gazillion cruises said it was one of his favourites and is great.
So just enjoy and throw the complainers overboard :P

@Trala @jessy_girl @Inigo Montoya & anyone else that uses a GHD - I've only just gotten on board, I got a cloud nine for xmas, never used them before (other then the hairdresser, I love it when she does it :p :)) What's got me confused through my googling is - Do I spray heat protectant stuff on my hair before I use it? or do I put some other stuff on it after? What is the routine for you girls? TIA :)
I use SP by Wella. It is exy, and hugely hard to find.

I have a regular GHD, mine is maybe 5 years old and it still works perfectly.

I do, product, then blow dry then straighten, then finishing spray.

Cloud nines are the best straightener on the market.... Lucky you I wish I had one.
I use heat protection before I blow dry/ curl/ straighten my hair. I'm using Toni and guy ATM.... It's good.
I bought their Shampoo and Conditioner for the first time last week, and it smells gorgeous! My partner commented on my hair scent just last night. I love it!!

Our Rosie is home!! Thanks for the well wishes for her, she had her cruciate done. She's on oral pain killers and antibiotics, as well as once a week injection of glucosamine which I am going to give her. She was so happy to see us, she is resting now, 6 weeks of recuperating, and keeping her quiet, which hopefully won't be too difficult as she is not a real active dog. Bless her!! They shaved her leg!! All the best on your cruise @Inigo Montoya you will love it!!

I love smelly shampoo and conditioner, what type of Toni and guy is it? My hair has a wave, never was a problem when I was younger, I had nice shiny hair with no flyaways. Now I find it is curlier and it goes frizzy. Tried serums etc but still have that frizzy look. I don't mind the curls in fact I like it curly and would like it like that but I just cannot tame that frizz. I use those wide tooth combs as well, well most of the time. Anyone have any advice?

Good to know that all is well with Rosie. I always feel for animals who have 'human' issues with health, although their physiology can be similar in the joint department. Yes, @Inigo, have fun on the cruise. No seasickness, no nasties and live it up.

I had wavy hair when I was younger (until about 13) and then all of a sudden it sprouted major curls. I've dealt with frizz ever since and it is the absolute bane of my existence.

I ended up googling and found this awesome website (curly girl or something) and they list a lot of good products. What they say is to wash your hair with conditioner, not shampoo. If you have to use shampoo you need to get one free of sulphates (and some other stuff). And only comb your hair with a wide tooth comb while its wet. Then before you leave the shower (while the conditioner is still in) cup water in your hands and squish bits of your hair with it. Sort of like rinsing it in your cupped hands. Leave some of the conditioner in as well, and then use a tshirt instead of a towel to dry your hair. You can also use a diffuser if you need/want to blow dry.

Sorry for the huge wall haha, I've become obsessed with getting rid of the frizz lately so I've been doing all of this and it seriously works. I have way nicer curls at the moment and they feel and look a lot healthier.

Thank you. I will try it. Do u use any products?

So glad I have thick, fairly straight hair that requires almost no extravaganza in product and styling. I've noticed that going grey is changing the texture of my hair so am adapting my regime accordingly. I still am wash, dry, style and forget girl. Pretty much.

I'm just using my old shampoo till it runs out then buying one without all the bad stuff. I use that Organix coconut water conditioner, which I really like but I'm sure there's better ones too. I also deep condition once a week, which is just loading my hair up with product then in a shower cap then wrapping it in a warm towel or heating it up with a blow dryer for a while. I leave it on for an hour or so. Then rinse it out like usual. The thing with curly hair is its so dry so anything you can do to get moisture into it will help :)

I'm so jealous of people with hair like yours. Mines usually kept back in a bun or braids because it's such a big event getting it to look nice hanging out :P

Yay I'm so glad she is ok, hopefully she rests up and feels better soon!

I wear a headset at work and it can play havoc with my hair. Thank god for ears to tuck hair behind. I tend to go with the kicks my hair does as it gets longer. No use worrying about it. My profile pic is a bit outdated. Going to try the latest pic to put there.
