@Trala @jessy_girl @Inigo Montoya & anyone else that uses a GHD - I've only just gotten on board, I got a cloud nine for xmas, never used them before (other then the hairdresser, I love it when she does it :p :)) What's got me confused through my googling is - Do I spray heat protectant stuff on my hair before I use it? or do I put some other stuff on it after? What is the routine for you girls? TIA :)

Cloud nines are the best straightener on the market.... Lucky you I wish I had one.
I use heat protection before I blow dry/ curl/ straighten my hair. I'm using Toni and guy ATM.... It's good.

Mine never looks quite as good as when the hairdresser does it! (mostly because I'm impatient). I wish I had straight hair.
And the heat protectant stuff gets sprayed on before you straighten it and then afterwards I have at the moment Joico Humidity Blocker - like a finishing spray that stops the little fly-away bits from starting. And make sure hair is dry when you straighten.

My hair is so baby fine, and gets boofy with humidity. I will most definitely add that Joico humidity blocker to my shopping list :) Thanks insomniac, I had no idea there were products like that out there!

I see this has been answered but argh lucky you with the Cloud Nine. My GHD has seen better days and I really want a cloud nine but not sure if it's a truly essential purchase. I mean, I certainly think it is but is it really? I am fairly new to the world of products but I personally like John Frieda's range, they cover most needs. There is another brand but the name escapes me, another guy's name though if that helps!

Oh wow I need to get me some of that stuff, where did you get it from? Priceattack?
