Lucky we have a gas stove so we could still cook. But had to have dinner early as it's already getting pretty dark.

Here's a first world problem for you. I have a super amazing bed which has massage settings and can sit you up, elevate legs etc.... well when the power went off this morning I had it sitting up. So now I either have to sleep on the lounge or sleep sitting up in my bed! Lol.

Thanks - finally home! Such bad conditions out there. Plus a tree actually fell down right next to my car and b,picked my path so I had to wait for the fire brigade. My poor car had taken a real battering today.

Oh @bleachy_dude I'm sorry but your bed dilemma does crack me up. I hope you are otherwise safe though, very scary stuff really.
 
Lol don't worry @shadow2 - I've had a good laugh about the bed situation.

It might be better if I sleep in the loungeroom anyway. There are two massive trees swaying pretty massively and if they fall, my bedroom is on that side of the house.

My gf's employers are total jerks and are using this as an excuse for her not to leave. Sad thing is it's working as she tried to leave but it was way too wet so is actually preferring being indoors at work.

Nah sadly they do. She doesn't quite have contracted hours so sometimes they keep her until 4am and get shitty when she isn't asking for more work at 3am, so this time they get to do it whilst pretending they are being nice.

Yeah it sucks! All signs point to a blackout, so umm fingers crossed. I'm sure they have some hectic generator or back up power supply to ensure their employees never get a break though.
