Gosh that is scary. Sucks about the limited internet and no power for a few days. Stay safe dude.

The wind and rain are starting to pick up here now....all day it was not that bad, but I guess it's my turn for the bad stuff.

I don't think I'd cope without electricity for any great length of time.
 
I'm "lucky" to be at work today it seems, my mum said that neither my dad nor my little brother made it to work/school today as it was nearly impossible to get out. I'm dreading the drive home if it doesn't clear up at least a little.

Extreme weather is not my thing, people.

I would have laughed too (guess we're both evil) muhahaha. The thing that pisses me off with my umbrella, I didn't even have it open. I was holding it by the handle and because I didn't close it properly, a huge gush of wind caught under it and blew inside out. Some of the tines snapped, rendering it fu****.

If you meant me (and not the lady who got her brolly trashed) you would have laughed more seeing me struggle to fold it back the right way in the pouring rain and wind. It was a bloody effort indeed.

Damn, no. Would have loved to have seen this.[DOUBLEPOST=1429594445][/DOUBLEPOST]Premier Baird has asked bosses to let employees go home early this afternoon before it gets dark. The weather is going to get worse apparently.

EDIT to add: Looks like Sydney Harbour has been closed for commercial shipping because of wild weather. A Carnivale cruise ship is stuck outside the heads.

Crazy stuff. We are still without power and its excruciating have intermittent and super slow speed internet on my iPad. No power until Friday potentially (they are saying at the moment). Debris everywhere and the wind is still howling. 57% battery left on my iPad and then that's it.

What did people do before Internet?!?

Lucky we have a gas stove so we could still cook. But had to have dinner early as it's already getting pretty dark.

Here's a first world problem for you. I have a super amazing bed which has massage settings and can sit you up, elevate legs etc.... well when the power went off this morning I had it sitting up. So now I either have to sleep on the lounge or sleep sitting up in my bed! Lol.
